Unseen Caring
Two people who have yet to be seen,
She with eyes the color of the earth,
Skin soft to the touch.
He with a voice so soft and sweet to the ear,
Face never seen, yet she wants him to hold her.
He tells her of the world he lives in and what his hopes are,
She, the listener of many, feels complete when they speak.
Yet they never meet and her heart aches.
Disappointed in herself for believing in him,
Disillusioned because he never goes through with what he says.
Her eyes show the sadness in her heart.
His approaches almost make her want to believe again.
Her heart tells her otherwise.
A smirk on her face shows that she doesn't believe,
Her eyes sing of a new mood.
Her life is yet to be complete but now. . .
She does things on her own.
They have yet to be seen and he still approaches.
Attempts to tease the heart that once cared.
Her heart is open but it is slowly closing to him.
Tired of the anguish, pain felt because of the cold.
Her strength regained by her world which he does not know.
Her smile could bring sunshine to flowers and anyone near.
He will never know because he never tried.
Their worlds are left untouched by one another . . .
never to meet, left unseen.
