For Whom I Love
Part 2

As the crew landed on Plethora Isle, Bryn felt a heavy blackness in the air.

"Sinbad...there's evil here." she said quietly.

"So what else is new?" asked Doubar sarcastically.

"Doubar..."warned Sinbad.

"Bryn, do you know where it is coming from?" asked the sailor.

Bryn frowned in concentration and soon gave into defeat, "I can't it's...it's everywhere. Everything is screaming in pain."

"Well,.... Lets find someone who can give us some answers."

'Oh...my dearest Captain Sinbad....you'll soon find out what the problem is. And this time I'm not taking any prisoners." purred an evil voice.

In the village known as Lock Ness Square, the sorceress stood in the middle of complete and utter chaos.

She looked around and saw houses on fire, burning crop fields, screaming children, frightened adults, and slave traders everywhere. She shook her head thinking, 'Not this time Rumina...'

She raised her hands into the air, and felt herself burn with the fire within her. Slowly the fires stopped burning and the whole village completely shocked as to what had happened just stared at her. Once she stopped glowing the leader of the slave traders took his whip and brought it down across her back. Instead of screaming in pain which he thought she would do, her eyes flashed white for an instant then nothing. Confused as to what she had done, he brought the whip down again for disobedience, she still didn't scream, yet he did.

"AHH!" he dropped the whip and put his hand to his back. When he brought it back it was covered with blood. He looked back at the sorceress and she smiled coyly at him, and turned her back to him. Not a scratch.

"If you harm another person...they won't feel or be inflicted by the whip, but you will." she stated coldly.

"My mistress will have your head paesant!" he roared.

The sorceress rolled her eyes, and waved her hand. He was flung off his steed and landed on the ground.

As he got up she drawled, "If you think your mistress scares me...you've got another thing coming. Rumina is a coward who hides behind her warriors. You go home, and you tell her I'll be waiting." And with a snap of her fingers all the slaves vanished in a white light.

In the forest however, Sinbad and the others were witnessing the aftermath of Rumina's work.

"By all that is HOLY! Who could do this to a defenseless village?" asked Doubar as he and Rongar finished burring the last body.

"Obviously somebody with no conscience." said Sinbad sadly.

Bryn placed a hand on his shoulder and said softly, "It's not your fault. The sorceress did this not you."

Sinbad shrugged off her hand roughly and with tears in his eyes exclaimed, "OH YEAH! Well if I had killed this sorceress when I killed her father, these people wouldn't be dead!"

Doubar, Rongar, and Firouz looked up at Sinbad with worry on their faces as they heard him voice all their suspicions.

"But Little brother...isn't she dead?"

Sinbad sighed warily as he sat down and answered, "No she's still alive."

"But how Sinbad? The Griffen's Egg???"

"She misted away before the final blast." he answered sadly.

"So.." began Bryn trying to follow the conversation, "The person responsible is..."

"Rumina." answered Sinbad in total hatred.

"Come out! I won't harm you!" called out the sorceress.

Slowly but surely the village inhabitants came out.

"Who are you? What do you want from us?" asked a man.

The sorceress walked up to the man, placed her hand on the boy's head and while it glowed softly answered, "I want nothing from you. I wish to help you defeat Rumina."

She raised her hand and all the people within the village saw the little boy's cut, bruises, and broken bones all healed.

He looked at her with admiration and replied, "Thank you. We could use your help in defeating this sorceres. But what is your name?"

She smiled and shook his offered hand while answering, "My name is Maeve."
