The Past Revealed
Part 2

A week had passed for Maeve and Sinbad since that wonderful night and no one but Dermot and Aphrodite knew about it. Sinbad wanted sometime alone with Maeve and it was too hard to find that on a ship.

"What's the sudden need for a little R&R little brother?" The rest of the crew had been curious as to why Sinbad want to relax all of a sudden. There hadn't been adventure around for weeks.

"I just want to … use this peaceful time to relax." 'Any more questions and I might spill the beans about me and Maeve.'

"Oh no Sinbad! Now you've DOOMED us all!" Maeve said coming up behind the two. "Every time you say 'Peaceful' or 'Ordinary' trouble shows it's ugly head."

"That's impossible, Maeve, trouble doesn't have a head."

"Firouz it's just an old saying!" ' Why must he analyze every thing I say?'

"Oh sorry."

"It's okay. I didn't mean to snap your head off."

"You do that to me every day and never once say you're sorry!"

"That's because, Sinbad, you," Maeve moved closer to Sinbad and whispers. "You get something Firouz doesn't now don't you?" Sinbad suddenly got a silly smile on his face. Doubar, Firouz, Rongar and Dermot (mentally) started laughing.

"Oh come on guys, it's not like that!" Sinbad said annoyed. Then even Maeve began to laugh as well.

"Maeve, you got me in to this now help me get out!"

"I don't think so sailor!"

"Alright then you'll just have to join me in this." Sinbad grabbed Maeve by the waist and kissed her just as long as he dared. Then let her go and watched her stubble back blushing like mad.

The laughter grew louder and this time it was Sinbad laughing and not Maeve.

"Land oh!" As soon as the cry came the laughter slowly died.

"Drop the anchor! Lower the long boats men where going a shore!"

When they reached the island Maeve felt an old presence one she had hope never to feel again, Valvasor. Maeve couldn't help but shudder at feeling Valvasor. She had always hoped she would never run in to him unless he was lifeless in a coffin.

Sinbad came up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. Maeve almost jump out of her skin.

"Easy, Maeve, it's just me." Sinbad said, "What's wrong?"

'I'm not ready to tell him yet.' "Nothing." Maeve tried to give a reassuring smile but Sinbad could see right through it.

"I know when something is bothering you, Maeve."

"I don't want to talk about it right now." And with that she left for the village.

When they got to the village it was under attack by creatures that had a wolf's body and wings of a harpy.

"See what I meant! You doom us all when you said 'enjoy the Peacefulness' Ha now there's a laugh!"

"Alright, Maeve, you were right. Now do you think you can get rid of those things?"

"It'll be my pleasure." Maeve said with an evil grin on her face. She shot her first fireball and it hit two of the creatures. The rest stopped what they were doing and started to head for the sorceress. They lined up in a straight-line ready for attack but Maeve had been practicing a powerful spell for the past week and decided now was the time to use it.

"Flames of the eternal fire rise up and ignite the creatures I see today. Burn their fur and scorch their wings until they are ashes upon the earth."

The spell had worked but Maeve was drained trebly and could barley stand on her own to feet. Sinbad caught her just as she was about to hit the ground.

"Firouz, is she going to be okay?" Sinbad said with concern in his voice.

"Maeve is just tired that's all. No more then usual after her spells."

"It was a good thing this Inn was near by." Doubar said trying to cheer things up a bit. Rongar tapped Sinbad on the arm signing 'What could have made those creatures?'

"I don't know Rongar but as soon as Maeve is awake I'm going to find out."

It was an hour later when Maeve awoke. Rongar, Doubar, and Firouz were at the local tavern. Maeve got out of bed and tiptoed to the chair Sinbad was sleeping in. 'He looks like an Angel when he's sleeping.' Maeve began to kiss Sinbad's neck when she heard him moan softly she smile and moved away.

"Hi a sleepy head." she whispered against his lips.

"Hi." Sinbad put his arm around her and clamed her lips. When they broke apart they we're left breathless.

"Now that's how I like to wake up." Said Sinbad as he tried to reclaim her lips but Maeve denied him the pleasure.

"Why not come with me sailor?"

"Where to my sorceress?" He followed Maeve's gaze to the bed.

"That is if you know the others won't be coming back for a little wail."

"They went to the Tavern to find their fun and said they wouldn't be back for a few hours."

"That's plenty of time." Maeve said with a devilish grin.

Just as they were at the bed the door flew open and in came Rongar and Firouz with Doubar barely councious.
