After nine years together, the guys in Lit are starting to get their name out to folks beyond the comfy surroundings of their Orange County, California home turf.
The pop-rock foursome is currently making the rounds in support of Silverchair, and will soon do the same for Eve6. The band is also currently benefiting from their track "My Own Worst Enemy," the first single from their album "A Place In The Sun," which is picking up steam at radio.
The band recently took to a bowling alley in Los Angeles to shoot a video for the clip, which the band hopes will help them stand out from their OC counterparts.
"I think the difference is, not to say that other bands are following trends, but I think that we've sort of like always had our thing," frontman A. Jay Popoff told MTV News on the set of the video shoot. "We don't sound like any other Orange County band."
"You look at like Korn and No Doubt and Offspring and Zebrahead and a lot of bands that are coming out of Orange County, Reel Big Fish," guitarist Jeremy Popoff (A. Jay's brother) added, "everybody kind of has their own vibe. That's one of the cool things about Orange County, I think. Everybody's kind of doing their own thing."
"We just stay locked up in our warehouse," A. Jay added. "We write our songs and practice in Anaheim so we're not really plugged into the scene."
