Despite some logistical difficulties with the day site, the event finally got underway and serveral Tourneys were held.
King's Champion, won by Thor, God of Thunder
Spirit of Uberheim, won by Stellerex
Barony of Antwerp, won by Sir Rudiger
After the travails of of the list-field, the tired combatants and the other Ladies and Lords of the Realm repaired to Sir Fafnir's Mead Hall, called appropriately, The Crystal Gardens. The good gentles fell with gleeful abandon upon the mighty feast provided by the Rock of Jotunheim's faithful servants.
When their hunger was sated and their thirst slaked, the company was treated to the amusing divertments planned for the evening. THOR'S Uberjeopardy challenged the minds of the contestants with cunning questions. Team AsDwarf took the final honors for their vast knowledge of subjects both Uberheimian and Mundane. Afterwards, the skalds were enjoined to try their skills in three different categories, Storytelling, Verses, and the formidable Sir Fafnir's Challenge. Many an amusing tale was told, many an elegant phrase turned, many a clever rhyme and dulcet tone sounded. But in the end, 'twas Saga who told the best tale of Thor's Lamentable Cross-Dressing Episode, Dankwert who delighted and shocked the hall with his bawdy song of Columbus, and Marlineus who brought the audience to their feet with his boisterous and outrageously funny rap in answer to Sir Fafnir's Challenge to begin a poem "As I walked in the valley of the Shadow of Faf".
As the company lingered in the mellow afterglow of good feasting and good fun, Dankwert called for attention to begin High Court. The winners of the day were announced, Awards of Honor presented, and general business was discussed. High Court ended with the bittersweet ceremony of Hella, former Queen of Uberheim, being crowned as Countess by King Siegfried.
After court, the most of the company went to Muggs, while others drifted off to various pursuits.
