Writing callings, and Invokations

As we work the craft thier comes a point in which we stop using the callings, invokations and evokations of Others and start creating our own. The reason for this is because practicing the craft is a personnal experiance for each of us, and the time comes when we shpuld tailer our work to match our own personality and beliefs.

this week we will look at how to write, the calling of the Gods, The summoning of the Watchtowers, and invokations and evokations.

The calling of the gods/godesses

This can be as simple or as elabreate as you choose. the elements that have to be in the calling are:

1. A greeting
2. the direction and or element of the God
3. what you would like
4. initation
5. repete for all directions

Example:

(1) Hail (2) God, Spirits and Angels of the East, spirits of the air (3) come Join us in our circle, Jpin us in our celebration{or workings} (4) Come and be with us (5)repete for all dirctions making modifications on dirction and element,

Calling of the watchtowers

Like calling thr Gods this to can be as simple or as eleabrate as you choose. The required elements are:

1. The greating
2. The direction,, element and what they rule over , {discription if you wishto add one}
3. What you would like from them
4. invitation
5. Repete for all directoions

Example:

(1)Hail,(2) watchtower gardian of the east, Spirit of Air, Ruler of the Air and thought, {Great Eagle of the Morning}.(3) Come Guide us, Protect us, and teach Us. (4)Come Join us in our circle.

(5) continue for all 4 directions modifing direction and element as apropriate change discriptions to the following: Fire= magestic lion of the Noonday Water=Great Dolfin of Evening Earth=Great Stag of the Night

Invokation

When you invoke a god or a spirit you are asking that they play a more centralized roll in your circle than those called to share in the experiance. The spirit invoked in essence become a like the soloest in an orcastra. not completly alone but suported by the other in attendance. the elements that should be present in all invokations are:

1. the calling 2. the praise 3. the thanks

Example:

(1) Seed sower,Horned one,great hunter, Hern Come! (2) Bright sun, dark death, lord of windg, lord of the Dance, Sun child, Winter born king, Hanged one. Untamed!Untamed! Stag and Stallion,Goat and Bull,Sailor of the Last sea, Gardian of the Gate,Lord of the two Lands, Ever-dying,Ever-living,Radiance! Hern the horned on also known as Ceronnos,Dionysys,Osiris,Pan,Dumuzi, Authur,Robin,Janicot,hou! Move us, Shake us, Tuch us, Bring us through

{When His presence is felt decliar. He is here..the Hern is Here"}

(3)Hern great one, thankyou for hearing out call. Work with us, help us, speek to the council for us, aid us in the work to be done. Great hern we give you thanks

{repet when dimising The gods}

Evokation

Evokation is the are of evoking a spirit into your self. I do not practice this because I fell the risk is to great HenceI do not teach evokation. This is set into the lesson as a caution. In evokation you are giving your body up to a spirit some of them have been known not to give full control back to the owner of a body so unless you want to risk lossing your self do not evoke anything

Homework

write one each of the above for your shadows. send me a copy of one of them so I can see how you are doing .
