One Bowl Fudge Cake
One Bowl Fudge Cake


Even if you thought you could never make a cake
from scratch, here is one you can!

Here is what you will need:

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a pan that is aproximately 12 X 8 X 2 inches

Place in mixing bowl:

3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut fine.

Add:

3/4 cup boiling water

Stir until the chocolate melts.  Cool.

Sift into the chocolate mixture:

1 and 3/4 cups cake flour
1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda

Add:

1/2 cup cooking oil (not olive oil)

Beat 1 minute by hand or with electric mixer at lowest speed.

Add:

1/3 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs

Beat 2 minutes, keeping sides of the bowl scraped down 
at all times.


Spoon into the prepared pan.

Bake 30-40 minutes until springy.

Cool and frost as desired, but this is also good just
sprinkled with powdered sugar!
