Thanks for answering and I don't mind sharing the recipe at all, as I stated in my first post. Heck, if anyone's interested
      in the pancakes too, I'll share them...:-) So, here goes the recipe for the syrup:

      Apple Cider Syrup or Sauce:

      1 c. pure apple cider
      1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
      1 Tbsp. cornstarch
      1/2 tsp. cinnamon
      1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
      2 Tbsp. butter

      Mix all ingredients, except butter, in a saucepan over moderate heat until mixture thickens. Boil for 1 minute. Remove
      from heat and stir in the butter. Serve hot over pancakes.

      It really was quite the compliment to the pancakes...:-)
