Mustard Dill Pickles Recipes

Just found this recipe in my new box of Kerr jars.

      4 lbs. small pickling cukes
      6 Tbs. canning salt
      4 1/2 cups water
      4 cups vinegar, 5% acidity
      fresh dill or dill seed
      mustard seed
      peppercorns
Prepare home canning jars and lids according to manufacturer's instructions. Wash cukes; trim ends. Cut cukes
lengthwise into halves or quarters. Combine salt, water and vinegar; bring to boil. Pack cukes into hot jars, leaving 1/4
inch headspace. Add 2 heads of dill or 4 tsp dill seed, 1/2 tsp mustard seed and 2 peppercorns to each jar. Ladle hot
liquid over cukes , leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Remove air bubbles with a nonmetallic spatula. Wipe jar rim clean.
Place lid on jar with sealing compound next to glass. Screw band down evenly and firmly just until a point of resistance
is meet. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
      Yield: about 7 pts
