THE WORKMAN - SHARP - SPEIGEL PARTY
"We had a blast!"

Pep Workman of Georgetown, DE with his 35 lb. Bluefin Tuna.

I have never been so impressed! Sherri Sharp shown here fighting a big Bluefin Tuna. She fought it for 25 minutes and..... released it.

"Pittbull Sharp"

What a fighter! Not only the fish, but Sherri! This picture earns her the nickname, "Pittbull Sharp". Here she is tackling a big Yellowfin with her brother, Capt. Rick holding on! She was all over the boat with this one. She fought again for 25 minutes, only to release it up next to the boat. I'm not sure if Sherri hooked the fish or if the fish have hooked Sherri! Can't wait for "The Poor Girls" Tournament!

This 85.5 lb Bluefin Tuna was pulled in as a joint effort. Jennifer Speigel did the hard part and cranked it most of the way, only to have it take off like a rocket when it saw the boat. Capt. Rick didn't want this one to get away, and jumped in to help her. He's surrounded by Frank Speigel, Pep Workman, Sherri Sharp, Jennifer Speigel and Hunter Speigel. What a great day of fishing! There were big sea turtles and a huge sunfish that would circle the boat. We were on the hook and had a nice chunk going. We caught our limit on Bluefin (85.5 lb Bluefin, Pep's 35 lb Bluefin and Hunter's 36 lb Bluefin) and released 4, with numerous knockdowns, to keep us hopping all day long! They seemed to be running in pairs and when one would hit, another would soon after. We had 3 hits, when Hunter (age 12 - his first Tuna) got his in the boat. We hooted and hollered so much, I'm sure they heard us all the way back to the marina! We definately got the attention of the fleet, as they all moved in around us.

Hunter Speigel with the 85 lb Bluefin. When Rose (the fish cleaner) hoisted it up to be weighed, you could hear people saying, "Hey look at the big Tuna that kid caught!" Hunter was honest, when they asked him if he had caught that big fish, he answered, "Not exactly."

TAKE A KID FISHING!
