Down in the dining room, a big feast is set out in front of
the Crystal Fighters.
"Man, oh, man! I would loooooove to be royalty!" Coda says,
licking his lips and taking a big bite of wilderbeast. "Ah,
the OTHER other white meat!" Suddenly, Zelda gets a
sensation in her mind. She stands.
"I'll be right back. I need to check on something." She
heads up to where the psionic call came from. She opens the
door to UA's room, and finds him motionless on the floor.
The newest additions to the Crystal Fighter team were asked to stay back, at least for a while, to learn how to use their powers. They were now in the courtyard of Eme's castle, practicing, while the rest of the Crystal Fighters headed over to UA's laboratory.
UA'S LAB
UA is on the table with the Crystal Fighters and some of
Crystallia's best doctors watch over him. No one has any
ideas what's wrong.
"So, what's wrong with him?" Eme asks.
"Can't say." one of the doctors says, looking up from UA.
"Was it something he ate?" Coda asks, "Not that I think Crystalia's food is poisoned or anything but the Vile..." he adds quickly, trailingly off.
"I checked." Eme says. "He hasn't eaten in three days."
"Found something!" Nity says, walking in. He puts a small tape
recorder down near UA.
"Could that be the journal he was talking about?" Zelda asks.
"Yes, and no. This tape is marked 'SCIENCE JOURNAL'.
Listen to where it was a few reels ago." He clicks it on.
"--and according to my latest blood sample, my DNA is
shifting. I felt this happen before in another world, but
never this strong. The reason must be what the symbiote
told me--with my new morphing powers, being in another
dimension will cause my DNA to shift and alter to my
environment until I'm as native as anyone else. But it will
be more painful than anyone can stand. This would explain
the painful reapearance of my tattoo after a few hours in a
new dimension. One problem--as it was telling me of various
things, I lost it to death when it was about to tell me
the cure for the condition I'm facing. And now, I'm afraid
I can't heal myself. According to my findings, I will
slowly start losing my powers, then my body itself will
start to break down. I'll be weaker than an amoeba when that
starts to take place. Then, slowly, my body functions will
cease and, well, let's just say my evil self will get what he
always wanted. I don't think I'll tell the CFs yet. I
don't need to be coddled in battle--*CLICK*"
"Ok guys and gals I'm not a geek like UA, but I'll
take the information gained by Eme's doctors up to my ship and run the data through thecomputer there, maybe it can find a cure.
"Nity want to take a trip? T.I.M. two for the skys please. "
Coda said, hoping to find an answer.
As they start walking out of the room...
"So thats why he didn't teleport us all before," Nity says mostly to himself "his powers were
already gone before Wizrobe even appeared".
Nity shakes his head not wanting to accept what has happened
to his friend.
"Dangit why couldn't he have just told us!" Nity yells then
turns and punches a hole through the wall.
Zelda puts her hand on Nity's shoulder in an attempt to calm
him but he bats her arm away. She sighs and watchs them leave.
Nity transforms into Razis and takes flight following Coda
to his ship.
+So everyone's going to go off and leave me? Oh, this is
nice.+ Zelda said to herself wrly. +Ah, well. Come
what comes through all a healer can never rest.+ She sat
down in a chair as an architect entered the room to repair
the wall. Zelda picked up the recording and played it a few
times, trying to gain clues to what was wrong. The doctors, having gained all they could from their samples and scans, left to a different labaratory where they could analyze the data. The architect
banged away with his hammer at the wall. "Oy! Could you keep
it down please?" Zelda said irratably. Being good-natured,
the arcitect decided to finish later, leaving his tools
behind. She played the recording once more, but still could
not seem to find anything to help her. She sighed and looked
over at the wall, for some reason the hole seemed almost to
mock her, she stared at it for a moment then she gestrued at
it in annoyance, and to her amazment, the hole closed itself
in making the wall whole again. Zelda gasped in amazement,
feeling drained, then she shook her head,
+Whatever..oh-well.+ again she turned back to the recording.
Zelda played the recording again, "Hmm...there ~must~ be
something..if only that symbiote were here! I know
it's a strange thing to wish but really, it could be
helpful...maybe a trip to the Dreamworld would help..but no,
I'm not quite sure I have enough experience to get
anything out of the trip." she said aloud. +Great, now
I'm talking to myself.+ she thought ruefully.
"Nity please join me on T.I.M., you need need to here to make
the jump to Starskimmer."
"To what?" Nity says.
"My ship, Starskimmer, it will take a short time to get there
so jump on." It took a very short while to get out of the atmosphere but when
they did the sight they saw took their breath away.
"This is what I live for Nity to be out her among the
stars, away from the Vile, the hate, all that bad stuff...
Starskimmer code three home sweet home three eleven."
and with that Codas ship decloaks and Nity is startled by
the size of it. Looking at the ship it would appear to be
about 6 football feilds long and four high.
"Nity you'll be the first visiter in ten years I do believe,
is that right T.I.M.?"
"ACTULY TEN YEARS FOUR MUNTHS AND DAYS TENS SECONDS...."
"Some times T. you are too smart!"
"Oh lucky me." says Razis to Coda. Not meaning to be so
rude but he has his mind on something else at the moment.
Zelda sighed, still puzzling over the tape when Phyllite
appeared on the other side of U.A. and made as if to attack
him. Zelda stood up and started to quickly say, "Mystical Rydia Luna--" Phyllite
cut her off before she could finish, "You needn't bother
with that, not unless you think it was do anything to a
hologram, of course." Zelda sank slowly back into her seat
and glared at Phyllite, "What do you want?" Phyllite walked
slowly around toward Zelda, "Oh, nothing really just dropped
by to say Hello. Oh wait..there was something...hmm..what
was it?" she said. Zelda muttered, "akuryuu taisan.[evil spirit begone]"
Phyllite looked up at her, "Now is that anyway to treat a
guest?" Zelda continued to glare at her, "You are ~not~ a
guest here." Phyllite laughed, "Oh, well then I'm sure you
won't listen to me, so I won't tell you your friends are in
danger." Zelda stood again and advanced toward Phyllite
forgetting, for the moment, that she was a hologram, "What
have you done with them?" she asked, afraid of the answer. Phyllite replied, "Now, now,
you wanted nothing from me, so I shall give nothing." and
the hologram faded. Zelda let out a cry of anger and
frustration.
U.A., "That was done well." Phyllite nodded, "Thank
y--" he cut her off, "But if you fail I ~will~ destroy you,
I see many improvements that I can make on your next clone."
Phyllite took a few steps back, "A-as you wish."
Phyllite led a large team of Vile in search of Nity and
Coda.
U.A. watched Phyllite go then turned to work on his
own secret agenda.
WAKUSIE
Kisutsu ran through the halls of the palace. He wasn't
quite sure why he was running, but something in his mind
just said, "run." So here he was, running blindly through
his people's capitol, like a maniac, for no reason. And, for
some reason, he didn't see the wall. When he finally did see
it, it was a little to late.
"Kisutsu!" A familiar voice called behind him.
"Umikai..." He said, turning around.
"Watcha doin'?"
"Non o' your business. I have to go down this hall now.
Goodbye."
"WAIT!"
"What?"
"You lost this..." He said, handing Kisutsu a crystal. "In
the dining hall, you dropped this. Ashika said that it was
yours."
"Never seen it before in my life."
"Look, just take it!"
"OK, OK, jeez..."
After running aimlessly in circles, Kisutsu finally
stopped. He felt like he was chasing his tail. That is,
until he felt like the ground was shaking. Probably because
it was. "WHAT THE????"
As he finished the forbidden phrase, several of the warrior
cast ran through. As curious as ever, Kisutsu decided to
follow. They lead him downstairs, to the right, upstairs,
another right, downstairs again, a third right, upstairs, a
fourth right, and outside. What he saw, he wasn't expecting.
A humongous shadow had overtaken the sky, and little shadow
beings fell to the ground, ever charging the small comunity.
"Vile..." He heard someone mutter. *Very...* he thought.
*He meant that that being is a Vile, idiot!*
*Oh.*
The clash didn't last long. Within a matter of minutes, it
pierced the wall of warriors barracading it. Then it made
it's way toward the crowds of bystanders. Unluckily, Kisutsu
was the first in line. But, he wasn't ready to fall prey to
some freak. He swung at the one charging him, spinning him
around, and was crumpled like paper. He got up in time to
see more people fall to the 'Vile'. Silently, he
climbed to the towers.
Grabbing a rope, he thought about how he had seen this in
movies. He swung from the rope, forgetting one detail: it
wasn't tied to anything. "So much for my suprise attack..."
He muttered, falling to the earth. As he was doing this,
several snowflakes passed by him. And more. And more. And
even more. Snow wasn't unusual on the planet; however, it
usually only fell in the winter, and not the summer. By the
time he hit the ground, it was covered in snow. Visibility was
0. He crawled through the snow and focused. There was a
legend that, when in dire need, his people had the power to
control certain aspects of the environment. He had already
witnessed two impossibilities; why not a third? So he
focused. And focused. And focused. And stopped focusing. He
was exausted... He couldn't keep his eyes open... He fell,
unconcious, just after the crystal that he had picked up
earlier sent a beacon, calling for help....
Anakin can see someone racing towards him. He uses a worm
hole to put himself next to the person, it's Zelda.
"Anakin we have to contact Razis and Coda there in trouble"
says Zelda franticly, pushing aside her surprise at his appearence from the wormhole
"How do you kno--" Anakin can't complete what he is going to
say because he is teleported away.
JUSTAR
Anakin appears in a familiar place and turns to see
Sentinei.
"Sentinei why in the world have you brought me here?" asks
Anakin.
"Because you have a mission" says Sentinei.
"Since when do I have missions?" asks Anakin with tone of
annoyance in his voice.
"The Goddess of Light has chosen you to do one man missions
where not every Crystal Fighter is needed" says Sentinei.
"Well what do you want me to do, I got a dieing friend back
in Crystilia you know!" says Anakin.
"Yes I know" says Sentinei a tone of sadness comes from him
"Here look at the mystic pool." Sentinei leads Anakin to the
pool.
Anakin looks into the pool and sees the events of Kisutsu
fighting the Vile then falling unconcious then a Vile
standing over him ready to kill, the picture froze to a
stop.
"Who is that" asks Anakin.
"A new Crystal Fighter his name is Kisutsu." says Sentinei.
"Your mission is to save him and then take him to Crystilia
where he is destined to join the Crystal Fighters." says Sentinei giving the orders.
"Ok teleport away." says Anakin.
WAKUSEI
Anakin found himself on some snow covered land, and the man
layed unconcious in the snow next to him, with the ever so
familiar shape of a Vile in front of him.
It was a rather small Vile he should be able to handle it
easy.
The Vile lost its attention that it had on Kisutsu when it saw Anakin.
The Vile swiped its talons at Anakin. Anakin took a quick
swipe with his sword cutting the ravor sharp talons off. The Vile screeched in pain and fell back.
Then Anakin jumped and swung his sword into the creatures
shoulder while releasing an electric charge from the sword.
The Vile shot backwards and fell to the ground, smoking.
"Ouch. That musta hurt." Anakin said in a joking way.
Anakin reached down and picked up the unconcious guy and the
Crystal that laid next to him.
"Don't want to lose this." Anakin said holding the Crystal.
Then he used another wormhole to take the two to Crystalia.
IN CRYSTILLIA
Anakin got Kisutsu to a room next to the rest of the Crystal
Fighters rooms and laid him on the bed.
Anakin found Zelda and told her he had a surprise.
Zelda followed Anakin to the room.
"Who is that? And why in the Universes did you bring him here?" she asked.
"His name is Kisutsu" answered Anakin.
"Kisu- what?" asked Zelda.
"Kisutsu, he is the newest of the Crystal Fighters." Anakin
said with a smile.
"Great, we need all the help we can get, though I wish it
wasn't all so abrupt..." Zelda said, her voice fading to the
end as she thought back to her home. Then she snapped back
to the present and looked at Anakin, "Do'you think he can
do anything to help U.A.?" Anakin shrugged, "Ask him." and he pointed to Kisutsu, who was just waking up. "Oh,
right." Zelda said and turned to Kisutsu, "Well?"
Kisutsu came to his senses. "Huh?" He asked groggily.
"AAAAACK!!!!" "You brought him here without any explaination?!" Zelda asked incredulously. Anakin shrugged again, "Well, it was my mission to get him here, and at the time he was unconsious..." WHERE AM I? HELPHELPHELPHELP!" He jumped back. Zelda took a step forward after saying to Anakin, "Well, he's not now...." she looked at Kisutsu, "It's all right, you're safe here."
"Get away from me!! Where am I? What have you done to my
home? HELP!"
Zelda sighed, "Oy, Anakin, you explain, I've been working on
that recording for such a long time...Besides, you brought him here."
In Coda's ship, he checks out some instruments. Nity gets
impatient.
"Well?"
"Well, I figured one thing out--"
"And that is?"
"I can't figure this out. According to this, UA's powers
are mystical in origin, like the tape said."
"So?"
"So, physical powers I can handle, mutant powers--maybe. But
mystical--thats a whole other ball park."
He sighed, "Well, let's get back to the castle." They get on T.I.M.
and fly out of the ship, putting it back in cloak mode.
They're about to enter the atmosphere, when--
"!¿!WARNING -- WARNING! ! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!¿!"
"What is T.I.M. saying?" Razis asks.
"He's saying there's danger. I should never have let him
watch those LOST IN SPACE re-runs."
A Vile streaks through space, flying at Coda and Razis with
its talons ready to draw blood.
"Oh goody, since when did the Vile become deep space
creatures?" asked Razis.
Ever since they had left Crystalia's atmosphere Razis had
put a protection sphere around himself so he could breath.
If the sphere took to strong of a hit it would dissapear and
Razis would literally explode, pieces of him later continuing to float around in
space.
The Vile was coming too fast and Razis didn't know how to
manuver in space.
Suddenly a blast came from Coda and the Vile was struck and
went spinning off into space.
A swarm of Vile came speeding after them, somehow they
adapted in such a way that they could streak through space, like a
ship.
Suddenly a blast hits T.I.M.'s propulsion unit and they start to fall.
THE CASTLE
Anakin finally manages to get Kisutsu to calm
down and managed to explain things.
"--so, that's why you're here."
"Oh, is that all." he says with a weak smile, then passes
out.
"He's exhausted." Zelda says after a mind probe. They head
back to UA's room, leaving Kisutsu to himself.
"Any change?" Anakin asked after Zelda checked over UA.
"Yes. But all bad. We just need Coda and Nity to get back and
tell us what they found!"
"Where are they, anyway?"
"They left to Coda's ship."
ELSEWHERE
Coda and Nity manage to open their eyes and see T.I.M.
levitating a good seven feet off the ground.
"Ah--safe. Thanks, T.I.M."
"You're welcome, but, query--what did I do?"
"Wha--?"
~I can answer that~ a voice in their heads says. Gently,
they're put on the ground and a form begins to take shape--
"UA!?!?" It looks exactly like UA, minus the Super Hero
underwear, a fancier belt buckle, two spikes on the
shoulders, a SA symbol in a Superman emblem that spikes up
at two points. ~In a sense.~
"But if you're not UA, then--" Nity thinks.
~I'm the infamous symiote. I have only a short time before
the inter-dimensional mind-link fades. I take it Chris
Wrenchler--~
"Who?"
"Must be UA's real name." Coda says. "All Super Heroes have
them."
~--Right, well, the answer to the riddle of his condition
lies with the evil counterpart. You must get---open a
teleport-----sion to rechar------m-------~ and then, he's
gone. Coda looks at Razis after a moment.
"Get any of that?"
"I think we're about to get more!" Then, they are jumped by
the Vile that shot them down.
CASTLE
Kisutsu opened his eyes. ~Oh, goody, I'm still at the mad
house...~ He slowly got up. He looked at the crystal in his
hand. "You got me into this, you get me out!"
*No problem.*
A word went through his mind. He had a sudden longing to
say it.... so he did. ~I'm gonna sound reaaaaal stupid if
nothing happens...~ "FUYU!" He was surrounded by white
light. When it disappated, nothing about him had
changed; except that his eyes were now blue and his white
hair gained some streaks of blue. "WHAT THE???" Zelda and
Anaking walked in as he finished the forbidden sentence.
Zelda noticed something different right away. "What
happened? Ohh...your Crystal! You discovered the word to unlock its powers of transformation!
"He was transformed using his Crystal Powers." says Anakin
looking to Kisutsu.
UA 'ports to the castle. He 'ports inside. He walks down
the hall and finds Anakin, Zelda and some new guy. He makes
his way further down and finds UA. He walks in and looks
over him.
"Heh, heh, heh. I could easily kill you now, but I find it
much more fun to EXPLOIT your sudden ILLNESS." He grabs him
and flings him over his shoulder. He leaves a note on the
table and 'ports to the Vile's new lair.
Zelda turned and faced the door suddenly. "What is it?" asked Anakin.
She shrugged, "I'm...not sure...there's something..I think we
should check on U.A..." she walks quickly to the room and
finds a note, "What's this?" she said and began to read
it....
Coda does quite a nice display of
acrobatics from the back of T.I.M. throwing black and gray
lighting bolts while laughing at the Vile for their poor
choice of battle formation.
Razis jumpd out of the way as a Vile swung its fist at him.
Razis evaded the fist and gave the Vile a hard kick into the
gut.
Coda and Razis quickly brought the number of Vile down to 1.
The Vile charge and Razis used his power to send a piece of
hail about the size of a basketball into the Viles leg.
The creature screamed in agony as his leg broke into two.
Coda readied to finish him off.
"I have Ultra Avenger. If you want him back, you better be
willing to give up your crystals to me.
--Ultra Avenger."
Zelda reads aloud. Anakin shares her grim look.
"We can't give them up." he says.
"Even if we wanted to, the Crystals aren't ours to give. They belong to the past factions, to the mages who created them, to the people, to the peace." Zelda finished. Then she said,
"We can't leave UA either--wait, with you and I here, who's watching-
-" Kisutsu flies through
the wall to the room and starts to look around where he is.
"Sunava--"
ELSWHERE
Coda and Razis take care of the last of the Vile.
"They never learn, do they?" says Coda.
"I don't think so." Suddenly, a teleportal opens in front
of them. Out steps the image of UA they saw before.
"You again?" Coda asks, getting a tad sick of all the
magenta and gray uniforms around.
"Not quite. I'm a symbiotic clone. I came here to help you
save Ultra Avenger."
"Great. So tell us what to do." Razis says.
"I'm afraid I can't do that."
"I thought you were supposed to help us!" Coda shouts.
"Physically to an extent, I can. My powers are limited
there."
"Then why can't you tell us what to do?"
"The laws of the universe forbid me. It goes back a long
way--
"The universe, all universes, were created by a group of
gods known as the INFINITIONS, in English, anyway. English being an extremely limited language, the word barely beings to describe and name them. After
the greatest space and all the celestial bodies, they then
felt it needed some kind of balance to distinguish between
the inhabitants they would soon create--"
"Let me guess," Coda says. "That whole freaking Yin
Yang--Good and Evil balance UA keeps talking about."
"Precicesly. They also felt that some day, there might be
some great wars between the two forces. So, they created
some protectors. My kind. The symbiotes. They created a
set number with different powers and abilities and sent them
to different worlds. Then, they created a world full of
backups, where I come from.
"But with great power comes great responsibility. To make
sure we stick to our objective of defense, they provided
some rules to guarantee we wouldn't effect the fate of the
universe they had planned. There must always be some
stability, and that limits our abilities to simple aide of
people.
"Also, when evil began growing too powerful, the gods felt
that they might be able to overthrow them. So, they sent a
select few lying in wait to intercept and cross the paths of
some of the good and give them an edge to maintain the
balance.
"But over a long period of time, some symbiotes found the
thought of evil enticing. They infected their wearers with
evil tendencies until they took over completely. That makes
our jobs a lot harder. It became our responsibility to keep
them in check. So as you can see, my hands are tied on how
much I can help you, but I guarantee, I will help you."
"So, you're saying you can't alter fate, but aid it?" Razis
asks.
"Yes. And his fate leads to something different. Now, my
time here is short. We must regroup at your base and
quickly find UA before he either fades or the other one does
something to him." UA lifts his hands and 'ports them away.
Anakin stayed with Kisutsu as Zelda left to another room.
"Hold it were your friends" says Anakin.
"See that Crystal there in your hand" says Anakin pointing
at the Crystal in Kisutsu's hand.
"That is your Crystal that gives you special powers so you
can fight against evil like the rest of us here" Anakin
holds his Crystal to show Kisutsu. "It means your a Crystal
Fighter".
Kisutsu seems to loosen up a bit. Then Anakin gets that
feeling when your being teleported and then he is gone.
"Where'd he go?????" Kisutsu gasped. He looked at the
crystal. "Powers? Yeah, right..." He took up a stance and
sarcasticaly says, "Stop, evildoers! I have super
powers! See! FUYU!!!!" As soon as he said this, the room was
shrouded in a snow storm...
JUSTAR
Anakin comes out of the teleportation to find himself in a familiar place.
Anakin turns to Sentinei "What now?"
"Well it seems the Goddess of Light has another mission for you" replies Sentinei.
"Well lets get it over with so I can get back before Kisutsu runs wild"
"Well you see Anakin its not that easy, your mission is going to last quite awhile"
"What do you mean"
"You might be gone for several years to help a Kingdom called Rolba"
