Lesley's success continued all through out the sixties. But after she started college her touring stopped. When touring stopped the records didn't get promoted. And when they didn't get promoted they didn't become hits. But Lesley was happy. She achieved a great deal of success for such a young girl and now believed that her education was what was important.

She quietly released and album in the seventies and another in the eighties. Though both proved to be outstanding recordings, they weren't as big of hits as expected. Instead Lesley was being praised for her work as a composer. Along with her brother Lesley created a few song writing hits like "Out Here On My Own" for the movie Fame. And today touring has again begun and strong as ever Lesley wears her crown as The Princess of Song.
