Hello again!

This time, it's not a very logn story and I think it might not even be a story as such, just a scene I had in mind ;)
Enjoy it, but *don't* take it seriously, please???

Thanx.

The Appointment

It was a bright and sunny spring day and the first flowers were already blooming. Everything
looked fresh and new after the cold winter, and only a few spots of snow told of how much snow had
fallen around Autobot City. Clouds dotted the bright blue sky and, just for today, everything was
peaceful. Humans left and entered the large city, Autobots in all forms did the same. It was busy and
bustling, but still, it was not hectic or stressy.
A man stood on a small hill close to the city, surveying everything. His sharp eyes were looking
for his target, the reason why he had come here. He had an appointment. After a bit of search he
found him ....well, he found them. It was a couple. The male partner was tall, looking slightly square,
the female one slender and a head smaller. Both were Autobots. He knew their names, but for his job
it was really unimportant. The man smiled and moved closer, though the word 'moving' was open for
interpretation. He was, in every sense of the word, flying. Neither the humans nor the Autobots saw
him, least of all the couple -- well, soon to be couple. They were busy, though not with each other.
The man landed on a wall of the city, near the male Autobot, giving him a narrow-eyed look.
Typical case, he thought.
The female was clearly trying to get the male's attention, but when she did, he was just
peripherally interested in her and mainly interested in her work.
Very typical, the man sighed.
Had anyone -- anyone! -- seen him, he would have been surprised by his looks. The man was
slender and muscular, had reddish-blond, short hair and was dressed in a what looked like a skirt and
sandals. His chest was bare. The skirt looked like a Greek loincloth with an intricately decorated belt.
But the most outstanding fact were the small, white feathered wings on his backs which looked too
small to sustain his weight when flying. There was also a quiver on his belt, filled with a few arrows
and he was carrying a small crossbow. The crossbow was made of metal and as intricately shaped as
his clothes were sewn.
The man pulled an arrow out of his quiver and put it in the crossbow, then he took aim.
The Autobot turned.
He curled his finger around the trigger.
The Autobot was in fully in his sight.
He pulled the trigger.
The arrow flew straight at the male Autobot --
..... and bounced off the metal skin! It fell to the floor with a small 'ping', but no one heard it,
except for the winged shooter.
"What the.....?" He blinked.
The Autobot, completely unaware of what had happened, walked into the City. His female
companion looked after him, sadness in her optics. Then she followed. The winged man flew into the
court yard, his small wings expanding in a blur behind him, shrinking again as he touched down, and
picked up his abandoned arrow. He gave it a close inspection. Nothing seemed to be wrong!
"Modern times," he grumbled. //Probably the skin. Somehow protected.// His arrows had been
designed for organic targets, not inorganic ones. Who would have thought he'd have to use them on
robots a few thousand years ago? "Well, I guess I've to pay Hephestus a visit," he mumbled.
He looked toward where the pair he had intended to make a couple had disappeared into.
"Happens," Cupid muttered, shrugged, and then flew off.
