Jesus is knocking...
Will you let Him in?
Did you know that God, the Creator of the universe, wants to spend eternity with you? He loves you more than you could ever hope to imagine. It doesn't matter what you may have done or who you may have been in the past. He loves you no matter what. He has a plan for your life. All you need to do is ask God into your heart. The first step is to admit that you have sinned. The bible says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23).The Bible also says "For the wages of sin is death" but continues with "but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"(Romans 7:23). The way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ. He died for us all, so that we might be saved. "For God so loved the world, that He gave us his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life"(John 3:16). The next step is to confess your sins to God. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9). Then repent and believe what God's Word, the Bible, says. "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel"(Mark 1:15). "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety- nine righteous persons who need no repentence" (Luke 15:7). God rejoices everytime a sinner asks Him into their heart. Will you accept Jesus into your heart today? Just take a moment and pray to God. If you don't really know how to pray, then maybe this prayer will help:
Dear Jesus,
I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. Please forgive me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I want you to come into my heart today and make me a new person. Thank you for sending your only son to die on the cross for me. Thank you for forgiving all of my sins and making me whole again. Help me to grow and draw closer to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
Now that you've taken the first step, you need to read the Bible and ask God to help you understand it. I would also recommend finding a good church to help you grow in your new relationship. There are many internet resources to help you in your walk with God. Some of these can be found in the other sections of my web site. If you have any questions, please email me and put Audra in the subject line.
