`HAND OF GOD' can't stop Hedonism

Not even an act of God could stop the partying at western Jamaica's party central Hedonism II,

famous for its extremely revealing pyjamas and toga parties.

During a heavy thunder shower on Wednesday afternoon, lightning tore a hole into the roof of the disco, knocking out musical equipment, special lighting, video monitors and other electrical equipment, but it was party as usual for the almost packed house.

Eyewitnesses said that just after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, staff and guests alike said they watched in awe as the bolt of lighting hit the roof of the building. In less than an hour, the roof was fixed, preventing water damage to the wooden dance floor.

The damage was extensive enough that the hotel had to hire replacement equipment and the SuperClubs Hotel is still totalling the cost.

Despite the damage, there was no slowing down or break in the operations however. When patrons arrived in the evening there was no evidence of the hole in the roof and disco opened bang on time at 11:00 p.m.

Resident manager, Cheddi Parchment said that an estimate of the damage should be ready by this afternoon after a Kingston-based firm had completed their assessment.

The cost is, however, expected to run into thousands of dollars, as Hedonism II boasts some of the best equipment used by any club in the country.
