Wings O' Fire!

This recipe is a great starting point...you can customize it to your mouth's limits of "hot"! The original version came from my college newspaper (Mustang Daily - Cal Poly, SLO ) way back when. Ingredients 2.5  lbs  of chicken wings (or drumettes)  4 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. cayenne pepper 2 tbsp. oil 2 tbsp. honey 1/4 tsp. ginger 1 clove fresh crushed garlic (use garlic powder if you really have to) Optional & Substitution ideas : - 2 "dashes" Tobasco sauce (or any "fire sauce" of your choice) - for flavor and heat - White pepper if you really want that zing!  This gives is a quicker "burn" - Fresh grated jalapeno pepper if you like the flavor and lingering burn of fresh peppers. Preparation  Instructions  Preheat oven to 425 F Place the wings in a baking pan and place in heated oven Bake for 30 minutes Turn over and bake for an additional 20 minutes While baking, prepare the remaining sauce ingredients After baking the 50 minutes, remove from oven and brush sauce onto both sides of the wings. Place the wings back in the oven for two more minutes Remove  the wings from the oven, brush with sauce again, and serve
