This is perhaps the most crazed enemy seen in DBZ. His origins are not clear. Freeza was the ruler of a vast empire of warriors who had conquered a great many planets. He had amazing power, which allowed him to control his empire through fear. Freeza could casually destroy a planet, especially if offended. Then Freeza met Gokou. This was the first person Freeza met who did not fear his power. It was very unnerving for him. Freeza went insane with hate when presented with one stronger than himself. Gokou first turned into a Super Saiyajin when Freeza brutally killed his best friend, Kulilin. Hethen defeated Freeza and left the planet Namek (which was about to explode). However, Freeza somehow managed to survive the explosion and was found by his father, King Cold. He was revived using machinery to replace the parts of his body that had been destroyed. Freeza then came to Earth seeking revenge, only to meet death at the hands of Future Trunks.
