New Album Finished!
The new album is finished, and will be in stores March 31st, 1998. It will come with a warning: "DO NOT WEAR ANYTHING FLAMMABLE WHILE LISTENING TO THIS".
More Maow...
Continuing the Maow/Local Rabbits love affair, in a recent issue of my fanzine, Superkid, Maow named Local Rabbits one of their "dream artists to tour with", along with Flat Duo Jets, the 5.6.7.8's, and Ween.
New Album News!
Desperately pondering when the new Local Rabbits album will out? Here's the scoop from Local Rabbits manager Tom Goodwin:
"The band will be recording in September or October at Mile End Recording in
Montreal. We're hoping to release the album in February or March. There is
no title for the album yet. We have a bigger recording budget this time, so
the guys are planning a lot of studio tricks. BE PREPARED! They're going to
knock everyone's socks off!"
Wow! For those who can't wait for their Rabbits fix, the before-mentioned 7" will be out by October.
Upcoming 7"
The next Local Rabbits release will be a 7" which will be out soon. It will contain "British Knights Coalition, Consolidate, and Strike" and "Pops and Company". No word on what it will be called. As you can recall, the last Local Rabbits 7" was Put on your Snowsuit, You Are going to Hell. A new album, the follow-up to 1996's You Can't Touch This is in the works as well.
Peppermint Voting
At Matt Hawco's Sloan site entitled Peppermint, there's a feature called The Sloan Funny Caption Game or SFCG for short. This time around, the Local Rabbits are part of the game. To vote for the funniest caption, click here. Have fun!
RealTime Performance
