 Panasonic's 'Rock the World' Gig
LOCATION: One Utama Shopping Mall, Bandar Utama
DATE: March 25th 2000
TIME: 5 to 10pm

BANDS- 28 days, Lyme, Kelp, John's mistress, 
Butterfingers, Juliet the Orange, Amigone, Lo, 
Samarkand and Charlotte Dreams. Most of the 
bands play the softer type of music, so you can 
just chill out and have a drink while you watch 
the show. The sound system must be something to 
check out! These people are serious about the 
quality, so I cant wait to see it! The best part, 
its a free gig, its FREE!!

Location: Phoenix Plaza, Cheras
                     
Date: 30th or 31st of October 1999

Time: 3pm to 7pm

What you should expect:

A huge DIY gig done completely with 
the intention of getting people 
to celebrate Halloween!! The gig is 
still free and it will be split in 
two days (30 and 31 or October).
Our turn to play is 3rd band on the 
the 30th! Come for both days! Support
all the bands in the list!

 It was Sydney, Warp and now?

Location: Somewhere near Ampang Park.

What you should expect:

Ok, here's the latest news
about this promising gig:
The last place where it was 
supposed to happen, The Warp, 
was moved again. This time its 
to a place around Ampang Park 
(not sure where exactly, tell 
you later). The good thing is 
that the organiser rented 
(yes, rented!) 2 bus to fetch
the people that go to warp 
and deliver them safely at the
new place of the gig.
(so dont worry if you see
someone inviting you to get
on a bus, ok?)

Location: Zodiac Club, Bukit Bintang,

What you should expect:

A gig at Zodiac! We love that place!
Gigs there are always great and
very friendly, and many friends
come to enjoy the moshpit...!
I finally got the flyer, 
the bands playing are Motherland,
Retemitnes, Flu, Herb Farm, 
Mental Distortion and a guest 
appearance by Studs! The entrance
fee is 11RM, check it out!




 Maybe Im just crazy!

Location: Colors, Uptown, Damansara Utama
                     
Date: 11th September 1999

Time: 3:00pm - 7pm.

What you should expect:

A cool combination of wicked 
bands will welcome whoever feels
like spending some time at Colors! 
Bands playing are Seven Collar 
T-shirt, Love Me Butch, Spunky Funggy, 
Foghorn and Killcycle! Entrance is
RM 7! Cheap!

 Tree-top tall, inky-armed sounds of the underground
Location: Sydney 2000, 2 Jln Bukit Bintang (old Cathay Theatre)
                     
Date: 12th September 1999

Time: 3:00pm 

What you should expect:

Sydney 2000, Bukit Bintang's
oldest and biggest theatre. Recently 
it started hosting underground gigs
there (there was a BIG black metal gig
recently!). Bands playing this time
are rapcore Prana, Love me Butch, 
7 collar T-Shirt, Foreground Division,
18SGG, Sean Olsens and Lyme! The sound system 
is expected to be worth the entrance price
(since its RM18- expensive, but you 
pay for the sound quality!)

 Sangki Salai's Gig

This was the first time we played at colors.

What you should expect:

Bands playing are metal masters Sputum and 
Senseless, cool beach rock from Roana 
(if you missed them opening at Kosovo, 
this is your chance!) and Lyme! (18sgg
couldnt make it)

 Beware of the Funky Earthlings

Location: The Baze, basement Wisma Central,
          Jalan Ampang, 50450 KL.
          (next to KLCC)
                     
Date: 20th August 1999

Time: 7:30pm - 12:00am.

What you should expect:

Even though we didnt play this time,
it was worth mentioning the hip-hop
scene's great DJs, breakdancers, and 
more! Bands like Da Joint and Integrated 
soul made it a great night, despite the
small attendance of people and the poor
organisation..

 "What to do on Sunday"

Location: Timun Drive, behind Ampang Point, Jalan Ampang
          (Near Ampang LRT station)
                      
Date: Sunday, 8th August 1999

Time: 8:30pm - 11:00pm

What you should expect:

The place where Boy works has accepted 
to host performances twice a month! 
More details in the news section!
Anyways, the gig should only feature
two to three bands with an entrance 
fee of 10RM including a BEER!
(or a soft drink, lah)..
The flyer will be posted this week
around town!

Bands Performing:
Since this will be the first time 
that the place is hosting gigs
and the sound system (and the place)
have not been checked under heavy
gig pressure, Lyme, Prana and 
Sputum will perform for the 
first time!

 The Nasty Show

Location: Zodiac Club, behind Starhill, Bukit Bintang
          
Date: 7th August 1999

Time: 3 to 8pm

What you should expect:

Ok, the hip-hop gig was postponed
and I still have to find out why.
The plan should be pretty much 
the same: 15 bucks, a drink and
an excellent group of bands such
as Da Joint, Integrated Soul and
Naughtius Maximus. I havent got 
the flyer yet so I might have 
forgotten more bands, but I'll
post it when I get it!

 Kosovo Charity Gig

Location: MPSJ SS15 subang jaya community hall 
          read the flyer for details!
                     
Date: Friday, 13th August 1999

Time: 6:00pm - midnight

What you should expect:

This charity fest is to help fund
the people affected by the Kosovo 
crisis, so all the money (all of it, 
really) will go to the charity fund. 
The entrance fee is RM5! (Very cheap!) 
And there are 15 bands (yes, 15 bands 
for 5 bucks!). Dont miss it! 
Its not in the flyer, but I heard
Bangsar's Hiphop greats- Da' Joint,
will be performing too!

What you should expect:

In replacement for the Cancelled Soul in' gig, Lyme is 
playing in a brand new, Bangsar Baru located night club 
called Martinis. The set of songs will be similar to the 
ones expected in Soul in', that is, the undying tribute 
to the dead grunge king. Of course, a bit of variety will 
keep people better entertained..
Best of all..Beer prices are going DOWN this night! I 
suggest you to bring comfy clothes...

What you should expect:

Organised by the Peruvian Community in KL and sponsored by 
the Embassy of Peru, this Charity Barbecue for the benefit 
of the victims of the El niņo Phenomenon in Peru promises to 
be a great opportunity to spend an enjoyable afternoon, 
where you won't only love Lyme's short set of 60's and 70's 
songs but will also have the chance of participating in a 
lucky draw, a jumble sale and tasting delicious Argentine 
Beef and assorted salads...hold on, i'm not done yet. the 
entrance is 40 bucks adults and 15, children (6-12 years, 
anyone under it, for free).
