Regina Murray Brault has held memberships in: Poetry Society of Vermont, League of Vermont Writers, New England Writers, Vermont Poet's Association, National Federation of State Poetry Societies, and National League of American Penwomen. She served as Editor of The Mountain Troubadour from 1977 to 1983, and was nominated by the League of Vermont Writers for Writer's Conference and Festivals National Scholarship Award for Poetry 1994. She attended advanced poetry workshops at Norwich University, Vermont College, University of Vermont, South Burlington High School, Fletcher Free Library, and in 1997 received a Diploma in the Arts from Burlington College.

Ms. Brault was admitted to The Writer's Voice Master Class for Emerging Writers taught by Professor John Engles, Saint Michael's College 1997. She served as judge for the WCAX T.V. Vermont High School Poetry Contests as well as Poetry Society of Vermont Contests on the state level. Nationally and internationally she has judged the Ina Coolbrith Circle 1998 Poetry Competition in San Francisco, the Jessee Poets December 1998 National Poetry Competition, Poetry Organization for Women International Competition 1980 and 1982 and Poets of the Vineyard International Competitions, among others. In 1990 and 2003 she served as critic for the Poetry Society of Vermont.

Since 1997 when Ms. Brault started keeping records, 198 of her poems have appeared in 83 different publications such as: Ancient Paths Literary Magazine, Crucible, Comstock Review, Grandmother Earth, Karamu, Lyric, The Mennonite, Northwoods Journal, Poet, Poet's Forum , State Street Review and June Cotner's 1999 Anthology, "Mothers and Daughters". Her poetry has won more than 240 awards including: The Artist's International Dancing Poetry Award 1997, Finalist in Atlantic Review International Poetry Competition 1997, Byron Herbert Reece International Award 1997, Clark College National Poetry Award 1996, Elizabeth Barrett Browning "Sonnet for the Portuguese Award," Poet's Forum 1997 and 1999, and the Milford Fine Arts Council National Poetry Award 1997, 2000.
