Spring Back
I wish it were as simple
as winding the hands,
setting the time
and springing back into you---
Ready for anything
green felted and sprouting,
and oh so ready
to leap to you,
trailing laughter
like cherry blossom glee.
I wish I could whisper
a come hither
that would cost only the kiss
I keep wrapping
in different paper
in keeping with the season.
Oh, I would spring back---to you.
