In early 1989 a new family joined the cast of B&B and has made its mark since then.This family is detested by the Forresters.It sometimes proved to be a competition for Forrester and at times a threat to copy their designs.The family is non other than the Spectra family.The Spectra family is headed by one great lady Sally Spectra.The company is famous for stealing the Forrester designs and selling them in the market.Sallly is assisted by her old tailor Saul and a sexy secretary called Darla Einstein.Both these employees share a wonderful relationship with their Boss and are always there for her.The latter also assists her boss in stealing designs.

In mid 89 Sally's daughter Macy Forrester made her debut as a spoilt daughter who never loved her mother and only used to deal with her in money matters.Macy came to town along with her boyfriend Mick Savage.The latter left town with Kristen Forrester to New York.Macy reconciled with her mother.Sally set up Thorne Forrester to meet her daughter and it was love at first sight for both Thorne & Macy.They got married after a lot of opposition from the Forresters.

Clarke Garrison aka Bucky joined the Spectra family in late 90 as the head designer.When the Forresters refused to give Clarke his own brand name he made the same offer to Sally.An agreement was made that if Clarke married Sally she would hand over half of the company to him as well as his own designer name.Sally married Clarke but later Clarke's infidelity caused him to get kicked out of Spectra.Clarke is on recurring status and visits L.A. now & then.Clarke & Sally share a son called CJ Garrison.

Sally's next love intrest was in Taylor's father Jack Hamilton.But Sally wasn't the only lover.Queen Stephanie also had some intrest in Jack.Sally never wanted Jack to be with Stephanie.In a quest to get Jack,Sally faked her pregnancy to get him.She booked a suite at a hotel to spend the night with Jack & get really pregnant.Stephanie found out about Sally's game and reached in time at the hotel suite.Jack was furious at Sally for lying and left with Stephanie.Once again Sally was disappointed in her love life.

As the company was going on a loss Bill asked his daughter Karen to join Spectra Fashions.Karen did not receive a warm welcome as she was employed as the director of the company.But later on the Spectra family welcomed her seeing her sincerity and her aim to get Spectra to the top.

Karen brought Spectra a new fashion designer called Anthony Armando.Anthony like Clarke wanted his own designer label.Sally gave him is own designer label and Anthony proved his talence at the Forrester & Armando fashion show.Anthony had a love intrest for Macy but Anthony's charm worked on Sally too who had now fallen in love with him.So there was a love triangle but Anthony never loved Sally so it was just a one sided affair.
