The following billet is a available and requires a prior 8511 AMOS but it not considered an AMOI billet.
1. NAVAL ACEDEMY PREP SCHOOL/J34
Marines interested in submitting a request for assignment must meet
the following requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years on station as of 990601
2. AMOS of 8511
3. Must have served time back in their PMOS since leaving the drill
field.
4. Be prepared to execute PCSO within 60 days.
Request for assignments must include the following:
1. AA Form to include all endorsements
2. Photo
3. Independent duty checklist.
4 DI duty checklist (Naval Academy Prep School only).
Applications must reach this headquarters (MMEA-85) by 990416. Point
of Contact is GySgt Switzer or GySgt Ortega at DSN 278-9263.
IT’S NOT TOO LATE SERGEANTS!
The Staff Sergeant Selection Board for 1999 will be held 13 July – 10
September 1999. If you are a sergeant and you are in any of the published
zones this is the time for you to do your last minute check of your records.
It’s not too late yet. If you havn’t already, you should be checking
your BIR/BTR, OMPF, MBS, PME and your fitness report evaluation screen.
If you need any assistance reviewing your records or ordering a copy of
your OMPF and MBS, please call or stop by the Career Planner’s office anytime.
Although it is recommended that you speak with a career counselor 12-18
months prior to entering the Below Zone consideration for promotion, it
is never too late to call. You can reach the Marine Corps Counselors at
