UK Kilt Quest Kwesters present: Kinkell=coordinator, LadyBlack, eagel, bleu,? Session Start: Mon May 04 13:43:15 1998 Willis is my brother. He lives in north central Texas, near Abilene. from emails looks like Uk Kilt Quest gets it! yes good then my suggestion was that we all be called Kwesters, eagels name?? ok ayes for UK Kilt Quest as project and Kwesters as us? Ok Leader? co Leaders?? you are Kink co ordinator coordinator=Kinkell aye sounds good by me that means she will log meetings and email them to me and send the mass email notes and keep us in line ok this is what I am doing I am searching a naturalization document I am keeping a log of where I go and what I see various URL's and give a bit about each? I am also getting UFT set up Ultimate Family Tree? mine will be the ones I go to in my search you can also pick a specific topic to search like if you only wanted to look for places that had info about one subject like migration might that be too specific? i would like to get into the scottish records online, so maybe i will concentrate on them each of us have different needs My interest is mainly in Scotland -- have visited the Galloway-Dumfries site. I wonder should we put under England , Scotland, Wales and Ireland? wasn't it kathy who said she had a lot of urls for us to look into? as sub headings? yes Scottish maybe doesnt really matter at this point Kink we will see what we have after we have collected them all well was just thinking if they came in under those headings it would make sorting easier oh when sending them to you yes maybe but now that I think of it I dont see me getting to the point of categorizing them I am just going to make a trail http://www.open.gov.uk/gros/groshome.htm that's the URL of the records onlne but could you not put them into folders as you go, otherwise its likely to be an awful lot of work at the end It might be interesting to have something which will identify what parts of Scotland the various clans lived in. There should be something online about that. I think that I will look into that next week. there is oh bleu that sounds interesting go for it ok electric scotland should have a link I have one on castles that might give lead in to that I love reading all the stuff at Fianna site I could live in there oh Kink another good one write a report ok I think we are all set as far as what we are going to do http://www.electricscotland.com/ link to clans (over 200 clan names) not strictly genie but historical for some with links so can you kink email this log to the others yes and have them add thire to it and send back to all then did you want to set up another chat time? http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Charles_Henderson/ genealogical if you are connected to one of the clans -- I think that my ancestors may have been connected with the Douglas clan yes I think anything we come across I even have a place for limricks:) link I think anything goes cause it all has to do with people in one way or another Another chat time? any ideas or change of time? look at fian they even have a cookbook group what Was the food like in ireland in 500 or 100 None -- I'll try the clans next week. this time is ok for me when should we next meet? this time is good for me also This time is fine for me. Well , if you are going to write your family history book, you need to know what else was happening at the time to make it interesting for others yes I like to do one on the toys throughout the centuries next monday again then? ok see ya all next sunday at 9pm PDT we'll talk during the week of course I might say on email that I will be here earlier if anyone wants to drop in good idea
