FORTHCOMING EVENTS

The Annual Prize Giving will be on Friday, 5 April 2002 at 4.30 p.m. in the College Auditorium. Chief Guests will be the Bishop of Colombo, The Rt Rev. Duleep de Chickers and Mrs Geetha de Chickera (nee Karunaratne)

The College Service will be held on Sunday 7 April 2002 at 11.30 a.m. at the Kollupitiya Methodist Church.  Preacher at the service will be Mr Ivor Poobalan, Principal, Colombo Theological Seminary.

The OGA Picnic has been planned for Saturday, 1 June 2002 to Kabool Lanka International Training Centre, Thulhiriya.

Refurbishment of the Upper School

You will all agree that this has been a long felt need and will be glad to hear that we have finally got a master plan for the refurbishing of the Upper School. In order to accomplish this in the shortest possible time we have to start a major fund raising effort. With this in view, a joint committee of the PTA, the Methodist College Education Society and the OGA was formed.  It was decided to organise a Walk, followed by a Mini Fair on the College grounds on Saturday, 15 June at 7.00 a.m. and ending at 3.00 p.m.  We will charge Rs 3000/- for display of a banner and Rs 1000/- for a Trade Table.
