What is going on here? The Bullets are supposed to play closer with Miami and they are certainly not supposed to be beat by a Shaq-less Orlando Magic. Rony Seikaly? He has no right leading the lowly Magic over the Bullets. After last night's loss the Bullets record fell to .500 again. This coming after they had been four games over, with a 19-15 record. Calbert has kept up his progress but he is still not at his best. This may explain why the Bullets have struggled as of late, after all Webber and Howard can't win every game! Webber is still averaging over 20 points a game and his rebounding numbers have fallen just a little, to around 9.5 boards per game. So, Webber has kept up his solid play and is not to blame for the Bullets weak play. Howard and Strickland have also kept up their numbers while Gheorghe is playing consistently...crappy. Apparently more time is needed for this very talented team to produce wins ever night out. How do you feel about the Bullets play?

The Bullets have been very productive lately, winning four in a row and raising their record to 19-15. The hero of late has been an improved Calbert Cheaney. While Calbert has found his touch, Rod Strickland has kept up his very solid play to round out the Bullets backcourt. Rod is averaging 15.9 points and 8.4 assists per game (6th in the league). His consistent play and ability to spread the ball around the floor has helped the whole team. Juwan Howard and Chris Webber are benefitting greatly from Strickland's 8.4 assists per game. Webber leads the team with 20.3 points per game and Juwan follows, scoring 18.3 per game. With Rod, Calbert, Chris, Juwan playing well, and a healthy Gheorghe, the Bullets look ready to make a strong run at the best team in the Atlantic division.
