---For Satan and metal---

7" vinyls from the pits of Hell...

A

Acheron - "Necromanteion Communion" (1998)

Cool little picture-vinyl from Acheron. The two tracks featured are the title-track and a cover of Bathory´s - "Raise The Dead". Both tracks are great, and Im sure they wont disappoint any fan of Acheron or just black/death metalin general. Good looking picture-disc btw, and clearly worth the investment! Rating: 8 out of 10.

Atrox - "Rise" (1997?)

This is weird musick!! At first, the track (Rise) sounds like something a bit jazzy, and when Monika starts singing, you get the feeling that is actually is. In a way thats true, but as the musick proceeds, it gets very melancholic and sad doom metal, still keeping that small element of jazzy stuff in it. The female vocals turns really sick and horror during the song, and its really cool to listen to. The male vocals are not so dominating though. Probably b/c they dont sound good. ANyway, this is in my opinion an awesome track, though somewhat weird. The second track "SIlence The Echoes" is actually quite boring. None of the vocals are as exciting or surprising as in the title track, and the musick isnt either. Its not bad, it just doesnt live up the the first track. Still though I think this 7" is quite a worthy investment, so buy!! Rating: 7,5 out of 10.

B

Brandpest - "I Fandens Vold Og Magt" (1998)

What a great release!!! Brandpest is a danish black metal band, and my personal acquaintances and they play fucking great musick!! At first theres a little intro, and then the first real track: "Monstrum Marinum: (Kraken). This is an awesome track!! Its black metal, but not very fast, but very heavy, and with great vocals by Vrykolatios. I think that this track shows very well the different influences of Brandpest. That being various thrash metal acts. The lyrics are about a giant sea-monster (Kraken) and theyre quite good. Nothing very spectatucal, but still good. Theyre written in danish, which of course can be quite irritating for those not understanding our language. But to sum up that track, I think its one most of you willæ like, if youre into heavy black metal with spinecrunshing volcas!! Next track is called "Sagen Om Chresten Pedersen" and its about a young man, who has sold his soul to the Devil with blood on paper. This track is more straightahead and a bit faster black metal, but still has certain elements of the heavy influences. Also indeed a cool track! The track and the outro are like stuck together, and theres a small lyric to the outro too. Ill translate it for you: "By the humans he is condemned. Forever by the heavens forgot. Chained in Satan´s castle. Comdenmed to eternal sorrow." Of course, its better in danish, as it rimes, but you get the picture!! All in all an awesome vinyl!! Rating: 9 out of 10.

C

Crucifier/Nun Slaughter - "Trafficking With The Devil" (1998)

Cool split vinyl by these two american death metal acts. Personally I had not heard any of the bands before, but I must say that I got surprised in a very positive way!! First of all, the cover is cool. Itsbloody red. The vinyl is also bloody red. The vinyl cover too, and the paper the lyrics are printed on, are also bloody red!!! That alone is cult, and when the musick is also cool, that all makes this a great investment!! Theres actually not much to say. If you like cult death/black metal, then this is for you!!! Rating: 8 out of 10.

D

Denial Of God - "The Statues Are Watching" (1995)

The first thing that hit Me, was the AWESOME cover art!!!! Fucking evil, and totally blasphemic!! Youll love this!! On to the musick: two tracks are featured by this legendary danish black horror metal act and they are as follows: Its black its disgusting and its totally cool, and its definatly their own style!! Everyone can say that they have their totally own and enw style, but these guys actually do. Black Horror Metal is the perfect description for this violent and satanic piece of metal!!! Ustumallagam´s vocals a truly great and Azter´s riffs along with Uksul´s drumming and Fargel+s bass a very supreme piece of vinyl from Hell!!! This is actually in my opinion the best they have ever done )(well, its close)! No doubt here, a destined classic!! Rating: 9 out of 10.

Denial Of God - "The Curse Of The Witch" (1998)

All new 7" from dark masters DoG. It says 1998, but actually it should be 1999, since its first out right now. Anyway, its truly a great piece of vinyl. Four tracks are featured, two of them instrumental guitar-pieces by Azter. Not much to tell about those, so Ill say something about the two other great tracks thats featured here. The first is the title-track, and I think its the best one. The riff is great, and I see it abit like I see Darkthrone´s. Evil, cold, satanic the way its supposed to be!!! Uksul actually plays pretty good on this recording. I havent really liked his drumming earlier, so thats great. Azter rules the guitar, Isaz of FEIKN (possibly) delivers the bass. She also delivers the voice of the witch and she does it great!! First some talking by her, and then a scream that would rip a sunny sky in two dark halfs crushes the harmony. This is truly great! Ustumallagam delivers (as always) the horrorish vocals from Hell, that truly fits this musick perfectly. Great track!!! The other track is "Black Horror Metal" which is not quite as good. Its a cool track, great even, but theres something by the first that makes it clearly the best! I think it has more personality. Well, no more talking from Me, as the wise ones of you out there are already busy writing a letter to Azter, ordering this great piece of Black Horror Metal!!!! Rating: 9 out of 10.

Deströyer 666 - "satanic Speed Metal" (1998)

Well, I guess the title says it all. Satanic speed metal is precisely what we get here. Two cool tracks from this cult band! Theres the title-track and then theres "The Sirens Call" and they both kill. Its violent, satanic, speedy and COOL!!! I really cant say that much about it, other than that the musick totally lives up to the title, and therefore it really cant be that bad! Rating: 8 out of 10.

F

Feikn - "Helhesten/Aamanden" (1998)

This is evil metal like you have never heard the likes of before!!! Its raw, its chilling and the vocals fucking kill!! Theyre all female (the vocals) but not just that sensible type. Sometimes Isaz also breaks out in breathtaking black metal screams/singing, and it fucking rules!! The musick is evil black metal. Not very fast, but they keep asteady tempo, so its not boring or very slow or anything. As said before, I dont think and of you have heard anything quite like this, unless you have heard their demotape of course. I will review that asap btw. I think thats mostly b/c of the amazing vocals. Well, enough about those damn vocals! Just buy this pice of black art, as I guarantee you, you wont regret it!! Rating: 9 out of 10.

G

Gorgon/Magnesium - "Heavy Metal Fever" (1996)

Well, once again, the title says absolutely everything! This is cool heavy metal from Japan (!) and it actually rocks! Its nothing extraordinary, but its good to slam some beers too! Ive never really heard metal from Japan before, but I must say, that they actually can make pretty cool musick!! Still though its not a classic or anything Ill listen to 10 times a day. Rating: 7,5 out of 10.

I

Immortal/Dissection - "Unsilent Stroms In The Northern Abyss/Sacrifice) (1996?)

Cool little split vinyl with two awesome bands!! Immortal first: A live track from Copenhagen Denmark. Its a very cool track, but the production leaves much to be desired, as you almost cant hear a fucking thing. Horrible sound. Its not much better with Dissection when they do a cover of Bathory+s "Sacrifice". Still though this is an okay sound where you can at leats here parts iof what the man sings. All in all a pretty cult vinyl to own, but if youre loking for quality live black metal with your two fave bands, this is not a good place to start. Rating: 4 out of 10.

Ungod/Sadistic Intent - "Phallus Cult/ Eternal Darkness" (1998)

Cult split with these two legenday bands! If you havent heard them before, its about time, as they kick ass!! Very blasphemic!! Especially the inner-pictures of Ungod, where a woman is getting a crucifiks up her cunt! Awesome!! ANd it aint drawn like the classic Marduk-demo - "Fuck Me Jesus". haha.. its the real deal! Well, onto the musick. These two bands show good skill when performing that black metal, and the hate towards christianity shines through clearly both in musick and lyrics!! And the cover art as said. Its.., well actuallypretty straight forward fast black metal, not with many surprises, but who needs them?? Still a cult vinyl, which I would encourage you to buy!!!! Rating: 8 out of 10.

Well, that ends my reviews of 7" vinyls! As soon as I get more, Ill review them too. And btw, all of these reviewed pieces of vinyl can be bought through my good acquaintance Azter of Denial Of God. That would be all except the Immortal/Dissection. Ill write the address, and you can write for a free catalouge. He selss much vinyl, and as we have to keep vinyl alive, I encourage you to write him NOW!!! He runs his label/distro Horror Records, and here is the address:

DEMOTAPES FROM THE DARKEST ABYSS...

Apollyon - "Troldeskovens Aander/Shadowshape/Grafsoen"

I have these three demo´s on the same tape, so I dont know the songtitles. Sorry. Doesnt really matter, as these are very hard to find! But Ill tell you about them anyway, in case youre lucky enough to stumble onto them one day. Apolyon is a danish black metal, and clearly one of the best we have! They play violent, dark and totally their own style! Its got alot of different thinngs into the musick, and always a very creepy and dark feeling to it. There have been several changes in the line-up during these demo´s, so Im afraid I havent quite figured out, who plays what on which. Im pretty sure though that Archdemon Diabolos always has and still does, play the lead giutar and write most the material. I do know the current lune-up though: Archdemon Diabolos - lead guitar and synth, Sorgh - drums, Vrykolatios - vocals, Hr Alfast - bass. Theyve just released a mcd on Full Moon, which I encourage everyone to buy!! Since I dont think youll be able to get these demo´s anywhere, Ill stop writing more about them, but you should definatly try out their new mcd "Diaboli Gratia"! Its a violent piece of black metal that surely deserves the attention!! And if I had go give an all-round rating on these old demos, it would be like... rating: 9 out of 10.

Blazing Eternity - "Der hviler en nat under sorte vinterbøge" (1998)

The newest demo from danish night metal band Blazing Eternity! This is much better that "Over Sorte Heder", their first demo. The vocals are much improved, and the 3 (long) songs are very well structured and played. It sometimes reminds a great deal of Katatonia btw, which is not a bad thing! The glossy colored cover is also great, with lyrics printed and lots of pictures. All in all a great demo, especially for fans of Katatonia!! (Can be ordered from Horror Rec) Rating: 8 out of 10.

Brandpest - "Helhesterad" (1996)

The first demo from danish Brandpest, and also the only thing they had ever released before their 7" vinyl. This is still great though, as they have theyr own, very unique, style of black metal. Its raw, its dark and its totally cool musick. The demo starts with an intro called "Strandvarslet". A cool dark and gloomy intro to set things off, and create the right mood from the beginning. Then onto "Heshesterad" which is my fave song on here. Its cool, eerie and dark as all of their musick, and theres a weird King Diamond-like scream in the song. Last cut is "Mosekonen Brygger" which is a slower tune. Darker and more gloomy than the track before, and it ends the demo perfectly. Unfortunatly we run into the same problem as with the Apollyon-demos, as its very hard to get a hold of. Anyway, the rating would be: rating: 9 out of 10.

Bethel - "Northern Supremacy" (1997)

A finnish black/dakr metal band is what we have here. And its fucking great!! An intro and two tracks are featured, and they all fucking rule!! The production is also great and so is the cover! The vocals mix between clear and blackish, but either way they kill too! Its not very fast, but it keeps a good pace all the way. Nice power on the drums too, makes this a cool demo!!! Buy or die!!! Rating: 8 out of 10.

Denial Of God - "Oscularium Infame" (1992)

The first legendary demo by this danish black horror metal-act, which (as you may have noticed) I like pretty fucking much! The style here is more straight forward black metal than the newer which is much more horrorish. This is blasphemic, evil and dark, just like it is supposed to be! 5 tracks are featured, and the only thing I miss is more clear vocals. Not clear voice, but many times its pretty hard to hear the vocals. This is an ugly and dark sound, and it fits the musick, but kinda hides the vocals a bit. The classic track "Dethrone The Tyrant God" should surely leave desbelievers choking on their christian guts!! I think it can still be ordered from Azter´s Horror Records, but one has to act fast!! Cool for a first demo! Good old black metal, with lyrics printed and pictures (on an A4-papir) so just hurry up and get it!! Rating: 7,5 out of 10. (Can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Denial Of God - "The Dawn Of Aemizaez" (1993)

The second demo by Denial Of God. In my opinion its beats the old one clearly! The only thing I really disliked by the old one was the hidden (well, kinda..) vocals, but thats all gone here, so thats not a problem anymore!! Its still the same style, but its become more horror now than earlier. Just listen to the legendary (and my fave track by DoG) "Follow Those Who Died" and be convinced!! Well, what can I say?? I thought the last demo was great, and this is even better, so no complaints from here! Can also be ordered from Horror Rec. but act fast!! The cover is as the other demo on a full A4 piece of paper, with printed lyrics and pics of the band. BUY!!! Rating: 8,5 out of 10. (Can be ordered from Horror Rec)

FEIKN - "Visse Ting Som Hænder" (1997) This is even better than their vinyl 7" which I like so fucking much!!! 4 tracks + an intro makes this worth all the money!!! The style is the same as on the 7" and theres really not much to say about it, other than it is truly great!! Perhaps even the best demo in all of 1997!! Anyway: BUY!!!!!!!!!! Rating: 9 out of 10. (Can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Grand Belial´s Key - "A Witness to the Regicide" (1997)

American cult-band GBK is on the loose on this evil tape. I havent really heard that much else by them, but I can safely say that I dont think this is bad. I dont think its brilliant, but its still an okay tape, worth buying. Its a re-release of their sold-out 7" ep, and it includes a bonus-track, so not much to dislike about this tape. Rating: 7 out of 10. (can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Mala Fide - "Male Fide" (1998)

This is a danish project-band by Archdemon Diabolos and Vrykolatios of Apollyon and Brandpest. It is primitive, cold and evil black metal, with a truly great feeling to it. Diabolos plays all the instruments, while Vrykolatios delivers the chilling voice from Hell. I dont think this demo is available anywhere for ordering, but as soon as I find out, Ill add an adress to this page. Great black metal!!! Rating: 8,5 out of 10.

Myring - "Mighty Northern Kingdom" (1998)

A promo by finnish Myring. Something has gone terribly wrong I think, as this tape simply sucks the biggest asses!!!! No balls whatsoever, and all in all just a crappy tape that we should all be without. Forget you ever heard about this. Rating: 0 out of 10.

Necropolis - "Twilight Destinies" (1998)

This is raw death metal from Denmark, and its pretty fucking cool. The vocals are very harsh and great, but the sound could be better. Great A4 cover with lyrics printed, painting and band picture. A good tape!! Rating: 7 out of 10. 8can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Nortt - "Nattetale" (1997)

This is pure depressive and evil black metal from Denmark!! The sole ruler is Hr. Nortt, as he plays everything, sings and writes musick and lyrics. This tape will rid your mind of any kind of happiness is you let it, and I encourage you to do just that. lyrics printed and picture of Nortt also helps to make this a great tape!!! Rating: 8 out of 10. (Sold out from Horror Rec)

Nortt - "Døden..."

The second offering from Hr Nortt. This is actually even better than his first demo in my opinion, and since the first was great, this cant go wrong. Still the same kind of depressive and evil blackmetal, sure to make you feel less and less interested in living! He still continues to write his depressive lyrics and that surely makes also makes this a reat tape to own. As I have understood by talking to Nortt, the purpose of this tape is for the listener to kill oneself. Buy this tape. Rating: 8,5 out of 10. (can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Strychnos - "Demo tracks 1998" (1998)

Terror metal from a new danish band featuring Had from Solens Skygge (R.I.P). This is great metal!!!!! Filled with horror-samples and cool voices this has a very eerie and evil feeling to it, that makes it worth all the money. There will soon be a 10" on Horror Records, (a split with Nun Slaughter) so watch out for that too!!! Untill then, buy this excellent tape!!!!!!! Rating: 8,5 out of 10. (Can be ordered from Horror Rec)

Unhola - "Minä Dlen Tie(?)" (199?)

Symphonic blackmetal from Finland. The first thing that strikes is the VERY childish vocals! It sounds like a puddel on speed. Not a good thing at all. The musick is okay, but its like the vocals ruin the whole things. Im sure that this would have been an okay tape to listen to, had the vocals been different but since theyre not, it isnt. Rating: 1 out of 10.

Walhalla - "War Over Nordland" (1997)

Another finnish band. This is way better than Unhola, and its actually quite good! Very heavy musick, good for headbanging, and okay vocals. The production is also quite good, and you can hear all the instruments clearly. The cover includes pics of the band, but unfortunatly no lyrics. Still though, this is a pretty good investment!! Rating: 5 out of 10.

And that ends my reviews of demo-tapes and 7" vinyls! Hopy you find them interesting, and I will add more as soon as I recieve some!!
