Morning Snow

Each flake falls like a magical delight
Lingering in the air
Dancing in the wind
The sun reflecting her brilliance

I lift my head up to the sky
Leting the snow encompass me
Surrounding me in all her glory
Warming me even with her cold hand

The ground now white
Like a cleared slate ready to be drawn upon
Dreams and imagination
Couldn’t begin to fill this blankness

I hold out my hand
In hopes of saving one or two
But they all just melt away
Because they are not meant to be caught

The sun begins to break the dark clouds
Awakening and stealing her from sweet slumber
Our time was short and never long enough
It seems so much colder now without the snow

where now?
