ROSWELL

Ideas of what happened during the first week of July in the year 1947 in a little town called Roswell, range from a weather balloon crash to a UFO crash. At a time when the radio carried stories of marsians invading Earth and everyone was recovering from WWII, The story seems to fit its place. This is named the most perplexing UFO mystery of them all. Was this a real UFO cover up? Jimmy Carter believed he had seen a UFO. And Ronald Reagan amused his crowds by saying how differences between people would dissappear in the presance of an alien threat.

W.W Barzel Left early from his ranch to go see if the sheep had done alright during the stormy night. On his way he noticed metal debris peices along the ridgeside. He also noticed there was a trench as if something had crashed into the ground. He was amazed at the pieces he was seeing. He dragged a huge piece into a nearby shed on the ranch. Friends told him that it might be part of a UFO or maybe of a government project. So, he decided to report it to the local sheriff. This was then reported to Major Jesse Marcel. He was an intelligence officer of the 509th bomb group. The site was closed and cleaned up. Within this time,it was realesed to the press that a UFO had crashlanded on the Roswell ranch. Hours later, the press realse was reinstated as a messup and that it was just a weather balloon. During the time,a local funeral home was called by the Mortuary officer who was in need of three small coffins. He also wanted to know how he was to preserve a body that had been exposed for a few days. A man who worked at the funeral home drove out to the base hospital and noticed strange pieces of debris. He was escorted out by military officers. Major Jesse Marcel was put on assignment by Col.William Blanchard. He was the first of the officials to see the debris field. he expalined it as a UFO crash to many but was later to tell on national TV that it was just a weather balloon. (or a government cover up?)
