with soulless caring,
he tenderly lay
his feast of flesh-life
upon the grave

joyously he gazes, fondly
upon the meal
brutality bought,
savoring the taste of death/life upon his lips....

Who are we to say:
Wolf is but a heartless hunter
taking joy in the hunt, yet
tends carefully to its children...

Who are we to say:
Vampires are soulless creatures
thrilling in the kill,
desiring life’s pleasures...

Both wolf & vamp
show signs of clear emotion,
possessing contented serenity; satisfied with their fate
Are we not more the soulless?

WE
who kill and feel nothing?
-turning our backs to our neighbors?
-throwing our children away?

I Charge You, Answer This!
Wolf & Vamp kill for survival,
While we still kill for kicks,
Who then is the soulless
	heartless
		one?
