Secret Paradise

Fitfully she
     tosses in her bed
brows furrowed in
     pain
eyes seeing
     what should never be seen
The Other Side....
     drawing her in
tugging at her
     soul
scapes of sin
     slaughter
       suffering
waves of fear
     grip her trembling heart
unable to leave...
     or unwilling?
She watches
     what is before her
transfixed by the
     torment
-twisted corpses
     bloody hands
burning desire!

Suddenly
     she awakes
bathed in cold sweat
     blinking in confussion
still night
     assaults her
slamming the door
     on the flames of her
        Secret Paradise
