Gothic Mystery

Strange how lives can be so different, but still connect on some level of desire and principle. Going so deep its almost faith. Outwardly we are as varried as moths. But look deeper and you will see we all beat our wings through the same night air, dance beneath the same moon, and hear the same sweet music calling from the dark sky.

We come from all places and all people. Some of us live in the country: housewives, hired hands, factory workers, bus drivers, ect. Some live in the city: bankers, cops, dancers, waitresses, construction workers, ect. And all the others in between: teens in school, colege grads, lawyers, people of the street. We are all so different! It amazes me still. But as its been said before, Gothic isnt the cloths, makeup, music, tattoos, ect that we put on. Thats only our way of mirroring what we feal inside.

And what DO we feal inside? What IS it that makes us Goth; brings us together as one?

The Great Gothic Mystery.

That mindset we hold as truth with an undying passion we cant quite put into words. My husband asks me why I want to dress in black and find the darkest lipsticks on the market. What can I say to him? He's got a some-what 'dark' soul, but he is as far from Gothic as one can get. And I cant tell you why. Perhaps its because I see things differently than he. I see the possibilities and look for mysteries in everything. I have a spiritual soul. I seek the devine always. I seek it in the flowers I tend and the depressions that tear me apart. But he has little nead for the spiritual. It frightens him because he cant understand it.

Maybe thats why he isnt Gothic. We see the mysteries, seek it to become beautiful mystery. So that when others see us, hear us talk, listen to our music, they are left wondering. And for those poor souls who are blind to the mystery, let them think of us as freaks. Its their loss and our badge of honor.
