This series is actually getting pretty old, but it's the kind of thing that will ALWAYS be great! The basic premise of the plot is absolutely psychotic. Koishikawa Miki is a high school junior who is wishing for a little something to spice up her life, like, say, love! What she ends up with is The hugest love polygon in all history (it goes way beyond a love triangle). Miki's parents have always been a little strange, but after coming back from a trip to Hawaii, they announce that they met another couple (the Matsuuras) and they now want to get divorced, and switch spouces with the Matsuuras. Miki's dad fell in love with Mrs. Matsuura and her mom fell in love with Mr. Matsuura. And the Matsuuras feel the same way! The Matsuuras have a very cute son name Yuu who is Miki's age. Yuu's behavior is very confusing to Miki! Sometimes he's sweet and thoughtful, but other times he's an immature jerk. Anyway, the parents get divorced and they all move in to a big house together. Miki doesn't want anyone to find out about her psycho family situation, but Yuu transfers to her school. Everything starts getting crazy when Ginta, who Miki liked in junior high (but he rejected her, or so she thought) turns out to like Miki, and then Yuu's old girlfriend Arimi shows up. And Miki's best friend Meiko is seeing.....(nah, I won't tell) Anyway, WHO will Miki end up with?!?! What is Meiko's secret!? There are 76 episodes of this show and then a movie. So far I have episodes 1-20 with more to come, so I will probably write my own summaries.
My opinion on the pairings: Miki and Yuu, Arimi and Ginta, and I'm not gonna write about Meiko until I figure out what in the heck is goin on with the student council president (sorry, forgot his name at the moment).
