That same day we took Rover shopping. We bought him all kinds of cat treats, a new collar with a tag that had his name on it, and a small green dog house. When we got home Mother painted Rover's name on his new house along with the words, "NO DOGS ALLOWED!" She said she did that just to make the neighbors ask questions.
"And when they ask," she smiled, "We can tell them that God touched our lives in the form of a tom cat."
