Frontman Grant Nicolas, drummer
Jon Lee are from Wales, England. Debut album 'Polythene' is my favourite.
Jon and Grant used to work in Wales, later they moved to London and they
found Taka Nirose, a Japanese modern bass player to form the band 'Feeder'. According
to Grant, Feeder are the named after a goldfish bowl. He reveals : "When
I was 4 years old, we used to have a poxy little aquarium in the hallway
and I called it Feeder. I just thought it sounded like a cool name for
a band." The 2nd album 'Yesterday went too soon' released in 1999 and the 3rd album 'Echo Park' is released in summer 2001. I'm lucky as I get the chance to go to their autograph session of the single 'turn'. They just re-released their EP 'Swim' with videos and a few more added tracks. On 14th Jan, 2002 Jon suicied in miami, this is no doubt a very shock news for all the Feeder fans. Jon's family wish Feeder cud carry on the band without Jon. No doubt the first album (released September 2002) after Jon's death would be an attention, here is the description of the album from their official web :

'Comfort In Sound' is Feeder's fourth album and the first recorded without drummer Jon Lee. It's sound is epic in scope and the album contains some of the most mature songs Grant has ever written, as well as many of his best too. From the spine-tingling wall of sound that is the title track to the inescapable malancholy of "Love Pollution" and "Quick Fade" - it's lyrics and themes are dark and intensely personal, it's contents flickering between despair and hope. Awesome but devastating at the same time, it is Feeder's most sophisticated and ambitious record to date. It is also their best.
Last but not least, the video of 'Comfort In Sound' really impressed me. The director surely knows what is everyone's concern....just when you're looking for the drummer, they show you bunch!
