September 15th, 1999:
Baby Sajdak is due November 13th, and we can't wait to see and hold him/her!! This is our first child, and we're EXTREEMLY excited! This very wanted pregnancy hasn't been with out it's share of problems... *sigh*... I've been out of work for over 4 months now due to bad swelling in the feet and hands... It's been one test after another to make sure the baby was alright... A couple weeks ago I was admitted to the hospital because of severe pain in my back and right side... Turns out that they had to remove my gallbladder on September 1st and it couldn't wait until after the baby was born... Due to the pregnancy my body produced a high level of colesterol and it crystalized in my gallbladder... I ended up going into pre-term labor during the surgery, but with medicine they were able to stop the contractions with in 2 days... TRUST me, having surgery when 7 months pregnant is NOT fun! *laugh*... All's well now, and we paitently await the arrival of our new little baby... Knowing that we'll have a sweet little baby to love and hold in a few weeks makes all the bad things well worth it in the end!! *smile*
October 13th, 1999:
Only a couple weeks to go before Baby Sajdak's here! YIPPIE!! *smile*... My doctor now has me coming in to see her the begining of every week and then over to the hospital the end of every week for a non-stress test on the baby... (Seems my blood pressure wants to stay sky high and my Ob-gyn fears if it doesn't go down that we might be bringing Baby Sajdak into the world a little earlier than we planned.. *sigh*... So keep your fingers crossed for us and lets hope that every thing settles down and we'll be able to just let things happen naturally... :o) I've had several people email me asking what names we've picked out for the baby, so I thought I'd let you all know here... We argued over either Brody William or Garrett William for a boy and could never come to an agreement... About 2 weeks ago the name Kendrick came up and it was fallen in love with, so if it's a boy? Kendrick William Sajdak he will be! :o) There was never any doubt on what she would be named if it were a girl... It's a definite Magan Kate Sajdak... Cute, huh? :o)
November 3rd, 1999:
My Doctor decided she wanted meto go in and have another Ultra-Sound done to check the size of the baby about 2 weeks ago (October 22nd... The same day I closed on and moved into my new house! :o) It looks as if there's a 99% chance that we're having a "Magan Kate" after all!! (A GIRL!! I'm excited! *grin*...) Went in for my regular 38 week visit this past Monday (11/1) and my Blood pressure was some where around 180 over 100 and my OB-GYN was NOT happy about that at all and sent me over to the hospital for some tests... While laying around there the BP went down a bit and I was allowed to come home... I went back again yesterday (11/2) and the BP was right back up... My doctor decided it was best for mine and the baby's health both if we gone ahead and admitted me to the hospital today and went through with an induction... (Even though in my birth plan I said I wanted to wait with no sort of induction until my body was ready to deliver naturally, my Doctor fears waiting any longer might put the babys heath at serious risk... And that's something I DEFINITALLY don't want!! So when she asked me, there was no question in my mind what I was going to do...) I'm being admitted to the hospital this afternoon for monitoring and they'll start induction tomorrow morning... I'm EXTREEMLY nervous and overly excited about it at the same time... (But I have such WONDERFUL people in my life, like my sister LORIE to make me feel MUCH better (yeah, right!!) by telling me that inducing labor hurts 100X's MORE!! Isn't she such a SWEET sister? *sarcastically said*... LOL...) But I know in the end it'll all be worth it, and if all goes well I'll be home by the weekend with a brand new baby... *smile*..... My dear friend Brenda told me I HAD to have the baby on November 4th, her birthday... Looks like she just might be getting what she wanted! :o)
