Big Blue

I am known as the blue whale, I measure some 90 feet from head to tail.

Every day we dine on plankon and krill. While other species dine on fish and seal.

We are known to be peaceful and shy. But you would not want to get close enough to look us in the eye.

We ae the largest animal in the sea or on land. And we are coming back on a man made demand.

We can live for many years in the deep blue sea. And for ever and ever you can come and see me.

Introduction

I'm sure glad that blue whales woulden't serve me dinner! They would serve me plankton or krill.

Part I

The size of a Blue Whale may be 85-100 ft. And the blue whale may weigh 175,000-285,000 pounds. A blue whale moves by flapping its tail up and down. It may reach speeds of 12-20 knots. A blue whale may look a blueish-grey color. Sometimes blue whales are called sulpher-bottom whales.

Part II

Blue Whales may live in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea during the summer. Blue whales live mainly in the Artic and Antarctic waters.

Part III

Blue Whales usally eat plankton or krill. And that is the smallest ocean life. The blue whale uses baleen instead of teeth. Baleen is like a food-collecting device. Baleen can hold up to five tons of water and plankton with every mouthful.

Part IIII

A blue whale lives 30-80 years. A gesation of a blue whale is 11-12 months. The blue whale has 350 baleen plates in its mouth. It will take about another century of protection before the blue whale is out of danger of extinction. The blue whale is the largest mammel.

Conclusion

Blue whales are amazing! They are big. They are the largest mammel in the world. And they weigh alot.
