Kuawa.....Guava
Psidium guajava
A native of tropical America, the common yellow guava grows
throughout low-land Hawaii in moist to dry areas. Its escape
to the wild has been severe, as now one observes guava replacing
native Hawaiian forest. The fruit is wonderfully tasty, and full
of nutrients and vitamin C. The season for guava in Hawaii is all
year but more plentiful July through December.
