The Dandelion is a widespread weed at almost any elevation
in Hawaii even to the highest peak of Mauna Kea at 13,796' ASL.
The whole plant is edible (yet bitter) and sometimes prepared
to be taken internally as a medicinal tonic. Dandelions are
believed native to Europe.
