This final year project is to provide a sound theoretical understanding and practical knowledge gained through experience on IC test process engineering. The intention of this IC test process simulation will provide a concise reference material and overview of conventional IC test technology and methodology applied in semiconductor industry for the users. This simulation design will cover the IC product testing operations which occurs before, during and after test production. It can reflect as a software, which sounds capable in interaction with actual tester hardware system. This simulation will exhibit the standard practical application of IC test process simulation in actual test process engineering environment. In this respect, hopefully, this simulation would be applicable for research, design and education purposes and expose the student of electrical engineering to the understanding of IC test technology in semiconductor industry. I strongly believe that it may be helpful to produce test engineering specialists ready to work in a real manufacturing world while practising the industrial professional skills.
This project will be considered successfully achieved the goal and objectives in terms of an interactive IC TEST PROCESS SIMULATION package in DOS and Windows versions is being developed. Hopefully, through the completion of this project, I would have a better understanding of the conventional IC test technology and methodology applied in IC test semiconductor industry. Furthermore, handling this project solely helps to enhance and improve my personal self-development skills especially in programming knowledge, project planning, time management, problem determination and solving, decision making, presentation technique and etc. All of these are so crucial in grooming and preparing myself for greater challenges ahead. Hopefully, this simulation will be utilized for the further research, design and educational purposes in the future. I strongly believe that it may be helpful to produce test engineering specialists ready to work in a real manufacturing world while practising the industrial professional skills.
