Marilyn Manson has finally set a title and release date for his highly-anticipated follow up for his 1996 break through album "Anti-Christ Superstar"
Marilyn Manson's upcoming album
"Mechanical Animals" doesn't arrive until
September 15, but he's already scaring
the locals.
Retail giants Wal-Mart and K-Mart have
refused to stock the album with its current
cover art, which depicts an androgynous
Marilyn Manson done up to look like a
stripped-down doll with prosthetic
breasts but no detailed genitalia.
Interscope Records, Manson's record
label, is currently working on an
alternative cover that would obscure
Manson's already smoothed-over
breasts.
As Mason re-tools his cover art, one
thing that won't be changing is the track
listing of "Mechanical Animals." When the
record finally arrives on September 15,
here's what you'll find:
-Great Big White World
-The Dope Show
-Mechanical Animals
-Rock Is Dead
-Disassociative
-The Speed Of Pain
-Posthuman
-I Want To Disappear
-I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)
-New Model no. 15
-User Friendly
-Fundamentally Loathsome
-The Last Day On Earth
-Coma White Check out all the lyrics for this song by clicking on the link below called Lyrics.
There ARE going to be 2 different versions of the CD. The artwork is
NOT
going to change. Interscope is manufacturing a version that will be
wrapped
in dark blue shrink wrap. The conservative stores have the option of
selling
this version. Both version will have a Parental Advisory sticker on the
cover.
