THE SAME STARS

You once said to me

"If you come out and look up to the sky tonight,

Look for the stars; then you know you are not alone.

For those are same stars I am looking at too."

For those were the very words so refine so kind

Never at all ever would there be such a star for mind

For you are the brightest star up there

shining and twinkling like a diamond

A Diamond so rare

I cannot reach the stars, Let alone afford a diamond

Then in between being a prodigy and prodigal

There is a future -for I thought I drew a blank

For it is inside this heart there is a hallowed Heaven

A heaven so deep so real so luxuriant

Here I stood among the thorns and the river so deep, so snare

Not a step forward I dare for my feet are bare

Not a lap can I swim for the river is a deceitful scare

One life spent in fear

For this heart has no control, it is futile

With leftover happiness, I walked the mile

You salvaged the crumbs and make the loaf all over

In your intriguing ingenuity,

You told me to hang in there longer

You healed a prolonged wound, you let the spirit grow

There were always teardrops I hope to withdraw

There were torments I wish to let go

Now I stood concious I need to strive

I need a new life

For there is a diamond forever I know

There brings a twinkle in my heart aglow

There are some same stars that shine together for you and I

The twinkle of delight and spirit forever high
