I remember the day I first picked up an Anne Rice novel. It was "Interview with the Vampire". I quickly became addicted to her marvelous vampires. Even that creep, Lestat, found a place in my heart. Although not as much as Armand, Marius, Daniel, Louis, and Santiago (yes, even the buffoon). It often astounds me how easily I identify with the characters and how, by retreating into one of her vampire stories, I have stopped myself from doing foolish things because they have made me realise how others would take it and how important life is.
