So here we are, another macabre celebration at hand!  The night we shed our inhibitions to laugh at death, or to invoke it, or merely to infuse our lives with the reckless high of mortal dangers.  In other words, to party our fool heads off simply because we live, we die, and therefore we deserve a good bacchanal mixer.

  Halloween has historical roots in pagan rituals, which makes it all the more incredible that it has become such a significant part of our popular culture.

  We hide our true natures behind paints and masks when we mock death, and the irony is that it allows us to be more like our true selves.  But, not to over-philosophize, here-in lies a dearth of eery, creepy, flatulant and bloated bodies of Halloween POP culture.
