BERLIN AIRLIFT CLASP -- The decoration, a special clasp, has been authorized by the Chiefs of Staff of the Department of the Army and Air Force, and been officially designated as the Berlin Airlift Clasp. The clasp is a miniature gold replica of a C-54 aircraft attached to the center of the ribbon bar of the occupation of Germany. All personnel assigned or attached to any units participating in direct support of the Airlift for 90 consecutive days from June 26, 1948, when the Vittles Operation began, are entitled to wear the new decoration.
