Jewish displaced persons arrive by plane at the Rhine Main Airfield, Frankfurt, Germany, from the blockaded city of Berlin, on operation "Vittles." One hundred and fifty came in the first group, and one
hundred and eighty are expected to arrive on 24 July 1948. Most of these displaced persons have been granted visas by the new
State of Israel, and will go to DP camps in the U. S. zone to await shipment to Palestine, will others will leave for Canada,
France and the United States.
