Colloidal Silver was first introduced to Doctors Signature in 1992. We did an exhaustive study into the background use, and its effectiveness in the treating of both external and internal infections. The Medical Advisory Committee's suggestion of incorporating this natural antibiotic has added greatly in our overall motto of cleansing purifying, and rejuvenating the entire body. ELECTRO-COLLOIDAL SILVER: THE AMAZING ANTI-MICROBIAL The following consists of excepts taken from a lecture by James South presented at the Natural Expo West in Anaheim, California, on March 10 / 1994: The context of why colloidal silver is such an important substance in the late 20th century has to do with the fact that all of us modern humans, especially those born since 1945 which marked the beginning of the post-mutant era, are biological subhuman mutants. We have been mutated and damaged and subhumanized in our immune systems. It is no thanks to better living through modern chemistry that any of us are here. A properly healthy human immune system can throw off virtually any natural microbe in the history of the world. If it couldn't the human race would have died off a long time ago. Microbes have always been with us. They have a legitimate biological function. They are nat ures undertaker. They recycle your dead body matter back into the earth as part of the humus that makes living organic soil. Most of us today have such substandard immune systems that if we were thrown back into America in 1885 we would last all of eight minutes before we breathed our last due to some germ, - plague that most people would treat as no more than a common cold. This creates a need. What are we going to do with our immune system? a properly functioning immune system keeps us from having chronic colds, flu, candidacies, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, AIDS, ARC, and lots of other things the modern world takes for granted. If we were to add up all the people in America who suffer from one of these diseases I just mentioned, you would have included most of America. And yet a decent immune system, or at least a good substitute for one, would either ameliorate or completely get rid of most modern common plagues, which are a sign of immune deficit on sociologically, virtually universal scale. As we end the 20th century, the crisis is getting worse by the day, If any of you have been paying attention to the Media the past several weeks or so, including articles on Radio NZ by several Doctors, They have been putting out a campaigne. For example in the USA on February 20th, Marin Independent Journal Sunday, "States": "Bacteria May Soon Be Beyond Antibiotic Control," News-week, March 7th, Headlines: "The End of Antibiotics: Science, a Medical Disaster in the Making." It's also been on NBC Nightly News. By the way, the establishment is only sharing with us the tip of the iceberg. the over use of antibiotics is found not only medically but even in animal foods. In America more than half of all antibiotics are sold in animal feed. The animals which are feed de-vitalized food are so sickly in the feed lots that antibiotics are first, a food stimulant to make them eat and second, used to keep them from dropping dead from the germ plague that we helped create for them. Between the food and medical uses of antibiotics, we've created strains of super-microbes that are acknowledged openly in the media to be un-killable by any known antibiotic. The News-week article sates that in about seven years they probably will have a new crop of antibiotics to replace the old ones which have pretty well run their course. The germs can now laugh at them and eat them for nutrition. As an example, tetracycline, one of the most commonly used antibiotics for acne, is known to be a super food for Candida. It only takes one bacterium out of trillions in your body surviving a dose of antibiotics to become the strong one resistant to antibiotics. The weak are killed off. That which is strong lives to pass on its antibiotic-resistant generic inheritance. It's widely acknowledged now that Hospitals are literally cesspools of antibiotic resistant germs. You can read many medical publications, and they'll tell you openly, as they do not speak to the lay public, that the worse harbors of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the world are American Hospitals; thousands of people a year die from, infections in surgical wounds. When I was young my next door neighbor went in for a routine gall-bladder surgery. She died a week later from resistant staff infection. Interestingly, it is our past which helped select individuals who are intelligent enough to avail themselves of a sub stance which will protect us from our rather bleak future. The irony is that perhaps the most universal antibiotic substance that is also non toxic has been around for more than 100 years. This substance is colloidal silver. Colloidal silver has been used as as a medical remedy up to the late 1930's in America and British medicine for the simple reason that it works. It went out of favor because 1) the drug companies couldn't patent silver but they could patent sulfa and other drugs which they had on the drawing boards: and 2) the major drawback to silver prior to 1938 was that it was expensive. In the late 1930 it cost $100 an ounce, in 1930 which in today's dollars would be about $1.000 an ounce to produce liquid colloidal silver. Colloidal silver went out of favor not because it didn't work but simply because it was to expensive for the technology of the day to produce in reasonable quantities and prices. None the less, it was one of the main stays of antibiotic treatment prior to 1938. I have articles in my files from the December, 1914, issue of Lancet, the most prestigious medical journal in Britain, discussing the use of colloidal silver in many different infectious disease states. I have a January, 1915, British Medical Journal article discussing the same issue. This is not a folk remedy or a patent medicine. This was standard and high tech in its time, explored by serious medical experts who found that silver was a universal antibiotic, found to be useful against 650 different infectious conditions, toxic against almost all species tested; of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, parasites and many viruses. The main draw back of silver of the day, aside from the expense, was that the colloidal particles had not reached its optimal ultra microscopic size to get maximum mileage out of silver. The silver colloid that was commercially available in the 1920 was inferior in technical quality to what we have today. A colloid is different from a solution such as table salt dissolved in water. A colloid of silver is the solid (pure) silver, suspended in de-ionized water in true colloid, the particles are small, on the order of 0.015 to 0.005 microns or micrometers: a millionth of a meter. a meter is about 40 inches. the modern colloidal silver particles are on the order of one four millionth of an inch in diameter. The action of the silver is based on the particle size being as small as possible. the ideal should be individual silver atoms. We already have particles that may be as few as 5, 10, 15 or 20 silver ions grouping together in small clusters and on a practical level, that's already good enough. In an ideal colloid, the particles are small enough that they do not clump together. Colloids are manufactured with different concentrations of silver in solution. some companies believe "more is better" This is right in some contexts, but not in colloidal silver. Here, less is more. The ideal in colloidal silver is the maximum number of individual particles of the minimum possible size, with a positive electrical charge. In a colloidal suspension, there are several competing factors. Gravity tries to pull down the particles, the bigger the particles are, the more they fall out of solution to become a visible silver powder. Silver is one of 92 natural chemistry pure elements. It has an infinity to itself on the atomic structure level is magnetically attracted to itself and wants to bond. Thus the higher the concentration of silver in solution the more likely the affinity of the silver particles for each other, bringing them together and clump them into even larger particles. Once they get to a certain large-ness in size, they will precipitate out due to the action of gravity on them. This is why you want micro sized particles of silver; ideally no more than a handful of silver atoms hooked together in a positively electrically charged ionic state so that further dumping will not occur. these particles must be light enough that gravity will not pull them out of solution Silver is definitely going to be very important in the next few years because it works, it has a long established history it's non toxic, and is relatively inexpensive. But there are some fly-by-night operations. Many of these companies say "Mine has 5.000 parts per million. Mine is really potent" The ideal amount is 3-15 parts per million of Colloidal Silver in the size range of 0.015 to 0.005 microns with a huge number of particles per given unit of solution. You all know what chelated minerals are. You combine the mineral with protein. you do this with silver. But now the silver particles are complexed with a substance which shields its electrical charge and binds it. You no longer have free floating individual or small clumps of ionic particles. It does you no biologic good. The ideal solution is golden in color. If larger particles are used the color varies from golden to red to violet to blue to a muddy gray. Some unscrupulous manufacturers are now putting in food coloring to make the substance a golden yellow. You must check that they are willing to certify to you under penalty of perjury that there is no food coloring. Silver is a natural trace mineral that is forgotten the modern world. Dr. Gary Smith a cancer researcher stated in an unpublished paper: "While analyzing hair analysis and questioning the parties involved, I noticed the correlation between low silver levels and sickness. They seemed to have innumerable colds, flu, fevers and sicknesses. I believe that a silver deficiency may be the key to proper function of the immune system and critical to the destruction of bacteria and viruses" One reason silver is no longer in our food is that we've switched from natural organic agriculture to chemical synthesized fertilizer agriculture. Organic agriculture is essential for us to conserve the recycle ultra-trace minerals that we and animals and sometimes even plants need also. Silver has been disappearing from the soils of Europe and America for a long time. In America our crop lands have been intensively fertilized, in California, three or four crops have been harvested a year for 100 years or more. anyone in farming can see that these exhausted soils are almost dead, drained of practically all trace minerals, especially of the element silver. Colloidal silver is not a drug but an important trace mineral, supplied by nature as an immuno-potentiating and strengthening agent. It can be regarded as an exogenous alternative or secondary immune system. Exogenous means "coming from outside the body" , as opposed to endogenous, some thing that comes from within the body. Silver can be seen as a secondary immune system over and above our unique biological immune system that consists of white blood cells, antibodies, complement factors, macrophages, natural killer cells, lymphocytes, cytosine's and interferons. above that organic orchestra of our biological endogenous immune system we have an external immune system, a secondary one to supplement it. We are now discovering this alternative immune system that once we received from our food. We used to have a two tiered immune system. Now we just have one. and we are not surprised when one is over loaded. People suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome. We put to much burden on our biologic cellular immune system by not having this auxiliary exogenous secondary immune system to back it up. I personally think that colloidal silver is one of the most exciting biological discoveries in the late 20th century. It offers some of the greatest hope for those individuals who are wise enough to partake of it, to provide ourselves with that auxiliary exogenous secondary immune system. In closing, I sent silver solutions to Larry Ford MD, at the UCLA Medical Center. He found them to be antibacterial for streptococcus, pyogenes, staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gononthea, Salmonella typhimuria and other pathogens; and fugicidal for Candida albicans. R.
