Hello and welcome to my kitchen!
Here you will find some healthy recipes for children.
What prompted me to make this page? It came from a need I saw at
my son's preschool. Every day, one child has a "special" day. That child is
the helper for the day. Their parents can bring in a treat or a snack for
the other children. I began to see a pattern emerging. Parents kept bringing
treats in and they where full of sugar. As a parent, I was a little concerned
when my son was bringing all this candy home everyday. Not sharing with
his two year old sister was beginning to be a problem also. Anyway,
I went to a parent involvement meeting and the nutritionist gave me
a book of recipes through the local social service agency. It's wonderful!
It has a bunch of good recipes on it and I thought it would be a good
idea to post one a week on this page! If you have a good recipe that's
healthy and your family likes it, email me with it and I'll be happy
to post it up here!
