This is a safe manufactured by Barnes Safe
and Lock Company of Pittsburgh Pa. It dates from the late 1800's and is
ornately hand painted and decorated. The safe is presently in the historic
Lemont House in Lemont Pennsylvania, and was originally used by J. Irvin
Ross and Son, who operated a store on the premises.
The safe is in excellent condition, fully operable,
and has all interior keys.
