So evil squickens aside, life around here
is almost never boring. This is because my
roomie and I are both insane. I mean insane in
that crazy fun way that involves submitting
entirely to that completely random somewhat
irrational side. Actually I should rephrase that...
Our apartment is boring which results in us using
the insanity that calls our heads home to relieve
said boredom. Yeah. That's it.

Right. So my parents used to own a convenience store,
one that sold alcohol. Like Scotch. When they closed
down the store much of the leftovers made their way
into my humble abode. Let's just say that Josh and I
aren't huge fans of scotch, this could be due to the
fact that we both have tastebuds. Lots of them. It has
been my experience that tastebuds and scotch do not mix.
Needless to say, we had a bottle of scotch laying around
and nothing to do with it. Until one fatefull night...

We were bored...and both staring off into space. Then
Josh spoke, "I wonder if scotch burns." I smirked and
looked over at him. "I would think that it should."
There was only one way to find out. So as Josh made a
mad dash for the scotch I found a 9x13 cake pan. We
poured out a goodly amount of the foul liquid, found
a lighter, and turned off the lights. Behold. Blue flame.
We were in awe. Then we started laughing as the stupidity
of what we were doing hit us. We laughed hard. Then we
decided to see what else we could burn that would be fun.
We were doing this in our kitchen mind you. We ran around
the kitchen searching for something to burn when we
stumbled upon...yes you guessed it! Well, actually you
probably didn't, but we found pop rocks! Yes they do
still exist! Lemmie tell you pop rocks are great things
to throw into a scotch fueled fire. They fly ALL over
the place. Our next victim was a container of crystal light
mix. This was very amusing as the crystals would light on
fire as they drifted towards the flame and burn a nice
magenta color.

By this time the kitchen was fully 10 degrees warmer than
the rest of the apartment. We had also succeeded in going
through a half of the bottle of scotch! Oh happy day!!
Our fun was had! We laughed so hard that we had tears
in our eyes. Then we turned on the lights.....
There was crystal light and pop rocks EVERYWHERE!!!

We were still wiping things up a week later only to have
the rag turn pink from crystal light dust. Moral of the
story is....

The only thing scotch is good for is for entertainment
when used as fuel for fire. Just don't burn anything
with a powder like consitancy....unless you want your
kitchen pink.
